OUr school completes all paperwork electronically except for the trasncript request forms and some financial aid docum, ents that have to be signed hard copy and submitted via fax

We use a checklist at our school which ensures nothing gets overlookd. I also agree that it's always best to have a second set of eyes to review, you can never be to cautious.

Cover page/ Checklist... File Cabinet

I have created two binders which include all material given to me for this position. One binder includes regulations and information about our school and the other includes everything a student would need to know and go through when signing up for our school, such as files, paperwork and enrollment agreements.

Our institution uses a CRM system to organize student files. We have specific electronic checklists to ensure that all important information has been covered with each prospective student. We then have an admissions committee review each file to guarantee that the student has met certain admissions criteria and has the correct expectations about starting school.

We use a checklist for the students file and check it off as I meet with the student and complete their registration.

We also use ckecklists. In addition, we have someone from each department that touches the file sign off on the checklist. In addition to the "paper" file, we store information in an electronic database. This makes processing reports quite easy as the information can be queried as required.

We have a checklist that is used. We have a checks and balances procedure that makes sure multiple people review the checklist to ensure everything is in compliance.

Ive started my ref. notebook, made a couple copies each of all I have recieved in the links. I'm making a few "binders' not only for my self but for who ever may want to obtain the info just to know it even if admissions is not there job title.

We are still a small school, but I think ideas such as a checklist or investing in files with tabs will make it easier for us to manage paperwork and files as we continue to grow. Thank you for all of the good ideas! :)

We have a checklist which is audited by several people.

Johan,
You are off to a great start. Make the notebook work for you.

I am taking notes and keeping all of my questions that I got wrong in my quiz so that I may learn from them as I go

I'm using a binder and labeling each rule so that it is easy to find what we need. I'm also adding cover sheets to each section:)

I am creating a Resource Notebook and questions to better qualify our prospects. we actually have had "My Story Questions" which help out lots when qualifying prospects.

We have made some huge changes, since taken over i notived that all the information was all over the place. So we have redesigned the catalog given it a more profesional look and making sure it is now in compliance and have modified the enrollment agreement to NCR paper. But have made packet for all the programs more readily available in stead of running here and there putting all the information together. This is very serious and must be handled properly or it causes major problems down the road for you institution.

Kristina,
These are best practices used by the most successful schools.

Rachael,
Excellent!

Kristina,
This is where checklists are a very useful tool.

By making sure they go to the departments they need to as well as by filing them correctly
