I have created a binder notebook to include important documents from this training, as well as sample documents from my specific institution.
I find that by organizing my paperwork to mirror that actual process life gets easy. Think and organize as you work and all forms and docs are at my fingertips.
Im putting a notebook together with all the info that i need to stay in track.
I have a binder that is divided into sections. I have all my rules and regulations in one section, all my sample documents in another, and all of my course outlines in another and so on. We had a binder that was standard for everyone, but I feel when you put together your own, in your own way, you are better at locating everything quickly.
Everything is organized in my admissions binder with appropriate tabs in order to be updated as needed and required.
Holly,
Absolutely! Although many states have regulations in common, there are nuances with each that we must be fully informed of.
Patty Aronoff
Our department is wonderful and has already prepared a binder of some of the more important information we will be using on a daily basis, but I plan to also create a binder of the other state regulations in a separate binder so I can reference and update as needed. It is important when you work at an institution where there are campuses located across the nation that you are current on all legislation and institution regulations; not only for your benefit, but for the security of your institution and of perspective students.
Olga,
Samples are an excellent tool. Having them completed as required keeps compliance on the forefront.
Patty Aronoff
Allyson,
You have the best of both worlds.
Patty Aronoff
Tammy,
Checklists are a great way to make sure everything is followed. Make schools have another staff member double check to make sure documents are complete and correct.

I have created a binder to include all documents from this training, and a sample of a student file with all documents or forms required by my institution and the admissions requirements as well as admissions package check list
I have instituted the policy of having a resource notebook with my institution's required paperwork and, now, the rules and regulations that I was able to access through this course.
Yes absolutely that is why I make it a point to do it myself as I am interviewing them, you can find out so much about them. I provide them with a copy only after I have received all documentation from them and give them a copy and also provide them with a student Catalog with all our Regulations and Policies in there as well as description of the Program they are applying for.
I am a Nursing Coordinator and do the enrollment agreement myself and then make sure we have a checklist upon the interviewing process check it off and I do not put them as a candidate if anything is missing or else it will go un-noticed if it is put in the file drawer pending approval. I feel it shouldn't go through so many hands because that is where mistakes are made.
Most of our information is kept in files on the compuer system. The rest of it is in a folder on my desk.
kevin ,
Excellent! Keep on adding reference materials that will aid you in your position.
Patty Aronoff
Elizabeth,
You are building a solid reference foundation with these materials. Continue to strengthen by adding new materials.
Patty Aronoff
Loral,
Excellent! Planning for the future starts with a solid foundation.
Patty Aronoff
The manner that this course is laid out makes organizing easy. Inserting my college's specfic paperwork, with the same colored tabs to indicate this is ours, follows a logical sequence & makes future referencing a breeze.
I am organizing all the paperwork and information related to completing this training, by using divider, tabs and highlighting areas of huge importance. I have dated the material and also set calendar reminders on a weekly basis to refer back and update if needed. I have encluded the admissions training in my binder that also includes other valuable inforamtion and references.
