We offer IT programs as well as programs in Health Sciences. I have already begun the process of reading and understanding all the courses in the catalog, as well as speaking to Dept Chairs, to get more detailed information regarding the courses.
Megan,
Sitting in on classes is a great way to learn more about the program, meet the instructors and experience the classroom.

Patty Aronoff
Audrey,
It is very impressive that you are willing to participate. Not all staff are so willing.
Patty Aronoff
Christopher,
The unanswered question is what will happen when I graduate. We can only prepare the student in the best way we can. Career Services hold be working with the student from day one.

We offer Allied Health programs. I'm learning them through our presentation outlines, talking with administration, and also sitting in on classes.
Our programs are simply broke down in to two categories; Auto-Diesel, or Collision Repair and Refinishing. Our instructors have been in the field working in the real world and pass this on to their students, or really anyone interested. We also offer two large career days a year, where prospective employers come and explain how the students training will be suit their needs.
We offer many programs in the alternative medicine field. I think one of the best ways to learn about and experience the jobs the students are training for is to visit the student-run clinic. Visiting the clinic will allow students in the program to practice alternative medicine techniques on me. I will then be able to share my experience with other prospective students.
There are a few programs that are offered at ITT Tech. We currently are offering degrees in Information Technology, Electrical Technology, Nursing, and business. I will work hand in hand with the career services director to enable myself the ability to help students with employment and the type of jobs offered in my area.
Mike,
That is excellent! Your school has then given you the information you need.
Patty Aronoff
syndy,
Check out your career services department. They have a wealth of information on jobs.
Patty Aronoff
Marlin,
How do you determine language competency in both languages?
Patty Aronoff
Lyn,
There are requirements for home health aids in dealing with Federally insured medical programs, such as Medi-Care.
Patty Aronoff
Tzipora,
Advisory committees are great resources. I encourage all staff to join in on the meetings. They are your connection to the community and potential employers.
Patty Aronoff
karla,
Licensure and certification is an important discussion to have. Students need to know this, as well as background checks and drug testing requirements.
Patty Aronoff
Eugene,
O-net is a very good resource to share with the students. It prepares them to research on their own and provides a tool for the future.
Patty Aronoff
Justin,
What would baseball be without umpires? Very unique, very rewarding....indeed!
Patty Aronoff
Stacy,
Product knowledge is crucial. Today's student will quickly discover if you really don't know what you are talking about.
Patty Aronoff
Judy,
Try sitting in on classes. Speak with instructors and program chairs. You will be amazed at what you discover.
Patty Aronoff
My institution offers a variety of programs in the IT field. The company has done a fabulous job of providing the representatives with all the tools we need to have a great discussion with the potential student to ensure that we have clear picture of what courses may be best for them.
