Elissa,

Meetings are an important part of what we do. Keeping the campus together with campuswide meetings is integral as we all must work together to serve the student

Carmen,
It's important to have meetings in order to keep us all on the same information plane. As we are the ambassadors of our school in admissions, it is important that we are current within the industry.

Amanda ,
There are many opportunities out there just start searching the web. Your availability to take continuing education online is probably the easiest and quickest.

Chandra,

Meetings are important for many reasons one of which is information sharing. It's an opportunity to share information and answer questions amongst the group.

We have different training through the year with the Director of Admissions. Plus we need to get the CIE renewal every year, which I always print out the most recent information, that that courses offer. Also, I’m always researching for any new regulation, policy or requirement that needs to be add it to my job.

We have weekly meetings in the admissions department so we are able to be most up to date on what is happening at our local institution and what is changing nation wide. This is also a good time for us to ask questions on what we have been struggling with and what we think we are doing a great job with as well. I believe our admissions department works as a team and we really seem to strive in that aspect as well.

I think its good to have department meetings on a regular basis. This gives the employees and opportunity to learn, and express thier ideas and opinions that are helpful to the overall advancement of the institution.

What meetings can I attend or learning workshops to make me a better admissions representative? Such as sales techniques etc.

We also do weekly meetings every Monday!

We have weekly staff meetings with the entire team and then separate meetings with student services to ensure we're all on the same page. We find it helpful that the right hand always knows what the left hand is doing!

We are a new institution and will be scheduling regular meetings.

We have admissions meetings weekly and campus meetings twice a month.

I attend open houses at our school and also we have our weekly meeting that keep us updated with what is happening.

Megan,
It takes a while to put the entire picture together. But as you continue to learn and grow you will be able to apply these tenets more quickly and suredly.

I have attended a few meetings since I am new to the company, however, policies are always changing and things are starting to make more sense. In this case, there will be more necessary meetings to figure out what works and what we need to improve on. We also have students take surveys after they take our course so we can get reliable student feedback so we can better assist our students and prospective students.

Bobby,

This is the manner that we all stay together as a team and work to the benefit of all. Meetings provide us that knowledge and working relationship.

David,
The more we know and understand accreditation, the better we can be at compliance. The accreditation workshops provide us an opportunity to learn more and grow more so that practicing the requirements comes easy.

Team meetings every week help me keep up to date with my job, admission policies and regulatory requirements. However, I am also plugged into a share point database in which I follow different organizational threads in which I look at every day to see what is the latest change or update.

While going through the accreditation process, your required to attend their workshops. In these workshops not only do they cover the accreditation process but they also cover very important areas as well from Rules and Regulations, Admissions, Marketing, Grant Writing, Student Retention, etc.

Douglas,

Daily standup meetings are a common practice. It's a quick way to keep everyone informed and on the same page.
