The Commission for Independent Education requirements emphasize honest, ethical behavior. These procedures also ensure that schools and their staff go about their work with integrity. I think these requirements will help remind all of us that we are acting in the best interest of the student.

The CIE is a licensing body. To be licensed in the state of Florida, an institution of higher learning must adhere to rules and regulation, or it will be shut down. If there is no oversight for instructional facilities, then people could say whatever they want, or do whatever they want to get enrollees. Chaos would ensue and this is not the best practice of delivering education and related services to the public. The CIE keeps staff in check for the good of students and staff, and to facilitate a compliant culture.

Erica,

Trust, honesty, and integrity are the basic tenants of everything we do with the school. Ethically we are guiding the students into their next career.

Patty Aronoff

Absolutely! If we do not follow the regulations, the school risks the loss of licensure or other legal sanctions.

Patty Aronoff

Regulations also are our guiding factor in remaining within the boundaries of the law. They tell us things we can say and things we can't say.

Patty Aronoff

The way we conduct ourselves in an interview as representatives is not because it sounds good and it makes sense to us and to the prospective student, but it is a direct reflection of the requirements and statutes that govern what we say and how we say it. We must be ethical in our practice and the regulatory requirements keeps on the right path to compliance.

Compliance with requirements ensure that the representative is operating within the best interests of the prospective student and institution while following the rules and regulations set forth.
