Our campus conducts bi-monthly meetings between all the admin departments in which of course the admissions team is a part of. I find this a very helpful and informative way for me to stay aware and better understand what is going on around me. In addition our admissions team meets twice a week to discuss our own department and any changes and updates that we need to be aware of.

I really like our Admissions meetings! We are provided with updates, new information, etc. then goes around the room and everyone is asked for their thoughts, issues, news etc. I feel an open forum like that at the end is an awesome tool and the respect it provides us all.

I feel everyone should have a opportunity to share their knowledge, especially since we are in education!

We are in the process of building our small admissions team and end up having meetings everyday to go over important information, training and updates. Besides the commission meetings twice a month, are there any meetings held by the DOE or ACCET(monthly or annually)that would provide additional admissions training or assistance?

AS managers we have bi-monthly meeting with staff. I am also on several committees that meet on a regular basis. We also have several Town Hall meetings per year when our owners are here conducting meetings regarding changes and upcomming events.

Loryn,

Changes happen all the time in admissions. Weekly meetings are common in order to keep everyone up todate .

Linda,

Commission meetings are held every two months. They are webcast if you are unable to attend a meeting.

Vicky,
Good communication is important but we also need to support each other in our efforts throughout the school.

When we share knowledge, we become better in what we do but also extend our school. Great job!

We have weekly admissions meetings to go over any important changes that involve our admissions policy and procedure, financial aid, and any thing that may impact the process of enrolling a new student into class.

I attend admissions and safety meetings which covers any new info and refresh old info

I learned something new here. Commission meetings. I will ask about these!

We have many meetings but All Staff meetings are held quarterly. These are my favorite. Every department shares reports on where they are and what is around the corner. This helps me see how my role affects everyone I work with plus how important the other departments are to the student success. Our leadership is open to ideas and suggestions. They do a great job of catching staff doing something right and acknowledging it during these meetings. We have department and team meetings almost weekly. These meeting share updates in policies, procedures and our role.

We attend to meetings quite often. We get together with other team members, managers, directors, and many times, we participate in web meetings and trainings to make sure we are up to date on everything we need to know.

We have staff meetings a few times a year and also meet with the owners of the school on a regular basis

I attend to board of directors, some faculty, and some staff meetings. It's good to notice all perspectives of the institution and keep up to date.

Susana,
Good communication helps to keep us all on the same page.

Todd,
Good for you! Being a site evaluator you are fortunate to visit other schools and see our sector from a different perspective.
