Knowledge is something that is never ending, something that needs to be constantly updated and something that you need to update with your Representatives about weekly if not daily.
In our industry, we update our knowledge by having industry advisory boards that come to the school quarterly, a panel of some sort, and they explain the updates, trends, and what they would like to see us train our students on. There is no better way to obtain knowledge, then the industry itself.
I have been in the school industry for many years. I am new with my school and have many things to still learn. They have a very good training program. The basics have not changed but the programs and rules have. It is important to me to know as much as i can bebore I start meeting with students in my new school
So far very limited. I have just started and am in training. My compnay seems very open and forthcoming with this information.
I would rate my knowledge as "growing." As a new agent, I am still receiving extensive training which should allow me to be very knowledgeable by the time I start working with students.
I'm currently in training but it's coming together very well.
I have worked for the company for about a month as a rep. My knowlege is growing. However, my background was 16 years with Air Force Reserve Recruiting Service. I as a recruiter, trainer, and supervisor. As an instructor, though I had good knowledge of my product, I preached to all be a student. Change is inevitable. There were many classes I taught that I used the recruiters "current" experience to help update the info I related to those with less experience. My advice is to always remain a student of your trade and never let your ego get in the way of someone with lesser experience to teach you a better way.
Even as new hire, I researched the opportunities available from the school prior to my selection. Yet, even now, I'm still learning essential information that is necessary for properly meetng with potential students.
I am fairly new to my position and school so my knowledge is not high at the moment, but I am learning quickly and taking in as much as I can. I hope that I will become very knowledgeable about my instuition.
I rate my knowledge pretty high up there but then again there are always changes being made here in my school so it is constantly a continuing learning process. I believe you can never know everything and there is always something else to learn every day.
My knowledge is excellent and a gift I love sharing with your students each day.
I would rate my knowledge as very high as it is very important that we are accurate representatives of our school.
I know our Institution like the back of my hand. But of course, this is where I graduated.
I am in my first week of training, so at this moment I cannot rate my knowledge too high. At the end of my training I'm sure that will be different.
I feel as though since I am a new agent to my current school I am somewhat novice. While I have worked in higher education before I know the basics. However, I am still learning the specifics to my new school which just takes some time.
I have worked in higher education for 5 years now and have been in two positions within my current school so that experiences (along with the passion to learn and grow) has led to a strong knowledge base. I would rate my knowledge of my department as a 9/10 and my knowledge of the entire school as a 7 or 8 out of 10 because, as a wise man once said, "the more you learn, the more there is to learn."
I would rate my knowledge of our institution as above average. I feel that I understand each and every departments objective therefore allowing me to proceed on a daily basis with smart and intellegent compliant decisions. Knowledge is power and the more you know the more prepared you are.
At my institution, we were given several weeks of orientation. Also, I continue to ask questions of coworkers and supervisors. As a result, I have a very good knowledge of our institution and it's offerings.
I too rate my knowledge high! I am a firm believer to keep networking with everyone because something could change immediately.
My knowledge is extremely high because of the integrated, caring processes of the Directors of our school. We have weekly training sessions and interact with other Reps on a daily basis.
I am still learning about our institution. I started this position in November after 36 years as a school counselor. I retired and decided to try something new that I would enjoy. I definitely found it, but it has been a lot of work memorizing the programs, policies, laws, etc. I would say I'm about 75/25 with an excellent admissions person modeling what needs to be done for a successful program.
