Considering I just started on Monday, I am still in training, however, I was consisdered the "expert" at my last college after 3 1/2 years seniority. I fully anticipate being an expert after my training and a few months on the job.
I rate my knowledge high. I have been with my institution for about 5 years and have held various positions in that time frame.
I am a relatively new hire as well. I am finding the training very helpful along with the inservices & planned educational events by our Director.
Hello Kimberly,
On a scale of 1-10, I would rate my knowledge at an 8. I personally find there are always new things to learn in the Higher Education environment. Policies change internally and externally and we in admissions must keep pace with the changes. I honestly feel our university does an excellent job with our teams keeping us up to date.
We do live web-exs, seminars, group and weekly team meetings to keep the information flowing.
Respectfully,
Phil Liberatore
I rate rate is as good, have been admissions rep.for 10 years
I believe that knowledge is the key to success. If you are knowledgable about your school then you can offer students the best customer serice possible. I have spend an extensive amount of time focused on program/compliance/policy information.
As I have not been in the education industry for more then a few months, I feel like my knowledge obviously can improve. Where I have made efforts to learn in my time here thus far, I believe that my knowledge will grow the longer I am here.
Our training covered a lot of information about the school which gave me and my other co-workers a good "jump start." I have been learning more everyday and continue to ask questions and show interest in other departments. Everyday I learn something new; it is important to keep up with any changes that may be made.
My knowledge is very high. Every quarter we are tested on our knowledge of the position we hold...this includes compliance, regulation, product knowledge, course catalog information and admission paperwork. In addition to this, new admission reps observe each of the programs offered and spend time with the department heads on campus.
I would rate myself, on a scale of 1 to 10, a 5 or a 6. I am a brand new rep with about a week under my belt. I have met with all the program chairs, departments, and ask questions to other reps all the time. I also spent a lot of time so far with the catalog. I am by no means an expert yet, but I am learning more every day!
I have been here for 1 year now and feel like I have a good grasp on most programs and procedures here. It takes time...
I rate my knowledge very high. I know about as much as there is to know about my school. This helps me to better help our students. If I didn't have the knowledge I have there is no way I could be successful!
Thanks
As a new representative, I would have to rate my knowledge of my institution as minimal at this point in time. But, my goal before conducting my first interview is to know as much as possible about this institution.
I began employment at my institution on November 21st, but even so I would say my knowledge is fairly high. I've had great training and product knowledge sessions with department chairs and faculty that have really provided good/solid information. As a team I see that we work really hard to keep everyone up to date and on the same page as far as policy, procedures, curriculum changes and what not. Takes a village to raise a child, but for that to happen the village needs to be on one accord as well.
Our school is opening a new campus and I am new so I still have a lot to learn about my instituion. Learning about each program and networking with other departments will be key.
I would rate my knowledge of my institution pretty high as of right now. I am very familiar with the types of programs that are offered and a good feel for the process in which we help students achieve their goals.
I rate my knowledge as high. I have been here 3 years and have seen many changes. I keep up to date on new policies procedures and admissions requirements so that I can best serve my potential students and existing students.
I have an intermediate knowledge of our institution, and continue to learn much more each day. As I'm just beginnning training, I know there is much more info coming to build upon what I've learned so far. I believe that meeting academic directors in the coming days will help greatly.
I rate myself with a 85%, anything else that about the school is probably not something that I need to know.
Since I am fairly new to the school my knowledge level is not great compared to a tenured admissions rep. However it is very important to me to understand all the in's and out's of a job so I will make it a personal mission to learn as much as possible so I will have all the information a prospective student and thier parent needs.
