I would like to know about the upkeep of my license. Financial aid concerns me as well so more information in regards woulkd be great.

I would like to have the opportunity of sitting in on some of the classes that our students are taking. This would enable me to give a whole new dimension of what a student can expect when he/she is attending our school.

I would be interested in knowing more about the development and implementation of my school's marketing campaigns.

A class that specifically addressed issues related to online education would be both timely and relevant. I would be very interested in a course like that.

Continuous knowledge of all aspects of the college will contribute to the presentation of an admissions representative. Knowing about roles and contributions of campus director, director of education, registrar, program directors, academics, career services and financial aid will help me to feel like a well rounded and understanding rep. It helps the rep to understand the value of deadlines for each department and the value of the students that we are enrolling.

I think with the ever changing information regarding Federal Financial Aid, this would be a great area of future training for reps/agents. I think you can never have enough knowledge about this topic, since it seems like most people don't completely understand all that financial aid lingo.

It would be great to have refresher courses 3 times a year regarding the interview process.

1. Overcoming Objectives
2. Painting the Picture of "success."
3. Creating the urgency to get enrolled today.

I tend to come across other reps that have a hard time reading prospective students and their tone. Many times tone from the rep is a deal breaker along with the info that has to come across but i feel that tone and voice inflection should be a training mechanism for reps.

There is always room for improvement in this area. Continuing education in this area is always a plus. There are so many different types of people and different methods of communicating to gain trust and respect. Additional training is always a asset.
Thanks

Duties of the Registrar's office in course scheduling and transferrability of Credits. This knowledge would be helpful as they directly impact student decision making regarding my institution.

The training opportunities that I would like would be to have exposure to some of the courses that are offered in our institutions Program of Studies.

I was interested in doing this at the school I work for. I would really like to get a better sense of what the students experience because I attended a very different educational institution for my schooling.

I agree that it is important for an Admissions Advisor to have information about Financial Aid. As an advisor, you don't want to know too much financial information because it can pose as a conflict of interest.

Knowing more info. on rules and regulations for Federal Financial Aid as applicable to the role of an Admissions Officer.

I am just in training, but I would like to know more about how Marketing targets are determined.

This is a training process for me but I would think I would like an overall view of learning and understanding the entire recruiting and admissions process; how do we recruit, where do we recruit; the marketing process; the rules and regulations and staying abreast of all the changes in the industry.

Other training opportunities, for me, would include working with how to partner with academics and employers to create a program advisory commitee to better align employers to the program we offer our students and for the employers to review our curicullum and offer insight on ways for our school to supplement what is being taught in the classroom with real industry working knowledge.

Mary,

I would encourage you to speak with faculty or other administrators in your school who may have specific information about the certifications.

John Ware

I would like to find out more about the licensure and certification that comes with the certain programs offered at the school I work for in admissions. I do know some on the licenses and certifications a student would need for a certain position in their work field, but knowing more about what is involved with those advancments would be helpful.

I believe an overview of the FAFSA and its impact on obtaining financial aid would be beneficial.
