I am in Admissions and have worked at more than one school. I noticed many of the answers rely on the Admissions staff to ensure that the information is dissemenated to the prospective students. I think there must be a separate check and balance to ensure Compliance is maintained throughout the process. There will always be people who will "shortcut the process" to save time at the end of a day or a particularly stressful week. I worked for a fine boss one time and his philosophy was "Trust but Verify". I think this is still appropriate today.

We have the same practice. However, what I notice is students do not know exactly what they are signing. They are completely overwhelmed when entering a program. There should me more follow up. To decrease the number of assumptions.
