Disclosures are presented to the student by the AC or other staff and signed acknowledged by the prospective student or applicant.

There is a requirement that a school must have an employee(s) available during normal operating hours to help perople obtain consumer information. Details are in the link to the federal code 668.44 if you want additional information.

I agree that the Consumer Disclosures must be given to the perspective student up front and given enough time to read and then acknowledge the infomation.

We also have specilized staff that are specifically trained in providing the employees and perspective student with the correct documents.

Are all educational institutions required to provide or hire specilists in the area of consumer disclosures.

We also have an on-line compliance program

The admissions reps provide documents such as enrollment agreement and student handbook for the students to take home and review.

Admissions is responsible for giving prospective students the required disclosures. They then take the information home with them, read it, and sign a document indicating they reviewed the information.

Kristen - it sounds like a good process not only to comply with regulations but also to reinforce the student's intent and commitment to attend your school.

During the Admissions Process, disclosure statements are explained by the AC. The student signs necessary documentation.

My school requires students to take home and read both the student handbook and the school catalog- prior to signing an enrollment agreement that bullets all pertinent areas of the handbooks. this is a contract that the student has been well informed that all policies were acknowledged. the second meeting is the financial plan where it is then reinforced.

This is handled by our admissions department, the student signs that they have recieved the proper disclosures.

Our Admissions department handles this the same way.

Our Admissions Representatives are required to have the students sign for each disclosure. If the a prospective student calls in and requests information that information is mailed to the student and the student is directed to the institutions website for additional information. With each of these occurences a notation is made in the campus database in the form of a comment. This is added to that students permanent record.

During the admissions process, prospective students sign in reciept of the necessary disclosures

This is a new regulation, effective July 1, 2011 which will require such disclosures on the school's website and in promotional materials. Therefore, depending on how your institution utilizes promotional materials, it may be in something sent to generate interest as well as in materials provided when a prospective student visits the school and/or requests additional information.

Are the median loan debt disclosures typically given by and admissions representative or by a someone from the financial aid department?
