As an Intructor in the Adult Classroom I found this course very helpful.  The course content as well as the discussion posts gave me some useful tips and tricks that I am already implementing in my classroom.  My students have responded very well so far and I find that class time is not only more productive, but it is more enjoyable too.

EL105

Hello.  I learned a lot about communication in EL105.

Bringing the Excitement

Being excited to learn is very important. These online courses give us great tools to use to make our life easier and more organized. But i believe the most important thing is being excited; students will enjoy and have a better learning experience in your class.

ED 104

Excellent effective stratagies. I have tried several of the topics discussed and was pleased with the results as indicated in this course.

ED103

Great refresher!!!!

EL102 - excellent refresher

EL102 provides a solid refresher for online educators. It reinforces key online teaching concepts that we can easily overlook.

Great Class EL105

This class is full of fascinating hands on tips! We learned about different communication methods as well as other great tips!

This topic that I just completed was very intresting  to me because it gave ma an insight on how to handle different type of students that we encounter in class every day. As a new instructor it is intrsting to me to know that we have all these differnt student, also I learn how to prepare for the class for the first time.

ED309

I enjoyed this course because it presented new & informative information about advising, and since I'm now in my Masters program for Mental Health Counseling, the theory based concepts made sense.  I always think it's a good thing to review concepts like communication because it is such an integral part of our job as instructors. My eyes have been opened even more in relation to my students because of this course.

ED 112 Influencing Student Motivation

As an instructor, I must keep in mind that some of the same motivators in my life are not different than any of my students. We all want a sense of security in whatever lessons we pursue, a sense of need and purpose and reward. This was an enlightening module and one to partake in. Thank you.

EL 102

The information was clear and to the point. I never realized that the different types of students had been clearly described. I now plan on being more active in the beginning to keep student interest and participation in the course.

Interactive Learning

EL101 instructional course was the idea training course for my developmental need and assessment as adjunct instructor. In this pariticular course I acquired a set of new skills that I bring to my classroom for a more informational learning curriculum.

Teaching style

Great course in learning different style of teaching. This course has been very informative and helpful for making good lesson plan, and be prepare to deal with all kind of class issues.

EL-101 and the bigger picture

One of the most significant benefits for me and taking this course was to have an overall picture that allows me to work many of the technology and media details without losing the overall educational perspective. Sometimes the over emphasis on technology creates the risk of minimizing other and perhaps less subtle components of proper educational techniques. Consequently there are very well presented and very colorful online media content, but much of the educational value of the presentations could many times be overshadowed. Taking this course allows me to move freely between the "trees" and not forget the importance of the… >>>

Control of Stressors

I/we are all in control of our stressors. I need to take the time to peersonally identify what they are and prioritize them in order to address them one by one in order to remedy my well being. Great module for understanding ones self.

ED 209

Great module in learning about who is our customer (students), however; not in a business sense. Also the various advising techniques were engaging as well. I plan to integrate these learnings into my instructional processes. Well done.

This course has helped me to bring together all the tools I've used

This course has helped me to bring together all the tools I've used and helps to set parameters on what is in use today. Many times I hear of other technology tools to use but sometimes I don't know if they would work or what type of issues all users would be confronting. This course provides those boundries that need to be taken care of prior to using these tools.

ED-102 Memory Acquisition and Transference

A very good course for learning student motivations, stresses, and retention of materials. Especially interesting was the section on memory and transference. Having to repeat a procedure 45 times and/or for 30 consecutive days was an eye opening statement. In a skill based trade school this is must. This cannot be a rote memory exercise but a repeated reinforcement of a specific skill through scenarios of various types and situations to get the student to be able to access a memory and perform a task that was taught.  Understanding this will give a much better result in application after graduation into… >>>
