Course 110

This course on stress management is really helpful.

ED 103 Completion

This instrutor development course  met my needs in improving classroom learning diagnostic skills.

Especially interesting, were the assessment of individual learning styles in maximizing student interes and motivation. The Dunn learning styles were particulary usesful in diagnosing students preferences.

ED205: Enhancing Students' Professional Skills

In an adult-learning environment, lack of professionalism has been of great concern to me.  Let's face it. A number of adult learners expect to be treated like professional adults while behaving otherwise.  It took me a while to understand this.  I often asked myself, "How can I make them see a professional adult in me without sounding conceited?"  Then it hit me.  I realized that I could not do that.  Otherwise, they would see me as the exact person that I don't want them to see me as--a conceited instructor--because I am not.  I just wanted to "teach" them how to behave like… >>>

ED209: Students are Customers...Not Consumers.

When students demand that they be allowed to behave the way they do and recite their favorite line, "I am paying for this. I am a customer, therefore, I'm always right," arguing with them will not help.  Instead, we can agree that they indeed are customers who should get what we promise to deliver and not consumers who will get what they think they paid for and do whatever they want with it.

ED102

Great ideas on how to keep all ages involved in there career.

ED105

Thank you for instilling new knowledge in classroom instruction and for positively verifying techniques and tools currently employed in my classroom preparedness and use.  I love teaching and enjoy witnessing a student's ah-ha moment!

ED102

Thanks! Well done sourse. This was quite helpful!

ED 105

This course was a great! It stimulated my interest in assessing myself. Having thought about some of

my previous teaching experiences, I have a new perspective with which to proceed with instruction.

ED101

All instructors should take this course.  It should be done before they start teaching or before they teach another class.  I found this course to very interesting and educational.  I will start 2013 bettering myself to better my student's success.

ED101

Just started out with ED101.  Cannot wait to start using some of the suggestions for my first day of class!

ED110

I encounter a lot of demands that result in stress in both my personal and professional life. I will becreating a list of my stress factors and utilizing the reduce/emilinate methods first. For the stress factors that cannot be reduced or eliminated I will be coping using the sharing, exercise, sleep, and breathing methods. Stress can be harmful to one's health and reducing, eliminating, and coping will help one lead a healthier life. In addition, teaching students to use these methods will also reduce stress by creating a healthier and happier environment in the classroom.

ED110

time and stress managment vas very helpful in understanding how to deal with professional and business life

Medical Terminology Made Easy

This course was really helpful and interesting..

Making Medical Terminology Teaching Fun!!!

This course is really helpful..There are a lot of ways in engaging students to participate in classroom activities involving learning.

El 104

This was a very informative course.  It was interesting to learn the 4 different roles that an online facilitator has to fulfill.  The roles are social director, instructor, program manager, and technical assistant.  In addition, I learned the various learning environments and techniques to engage students in the classroom.

EL106

This was a great course - I learned the importance of assessments from a formative and summative perspective along with alternative ways to assess student learning.  Using a combination of instructor driven and student driven assessments throughout the course will provide a broad scope of student understanding and keep students engaged in their learning.

ed112

THIS EXERCISE WAS EXTREMELY HELPFUL.I RECEIVED INSIGHT INTO SOME OF THE ISSUES I AM EXPERIENCING NOW.THE SECURITY SUBJECT HAS MADE ME UNDERSTAND WHAT I CAN IMPROVE ON IN THE CLASSROOM.IT MAKES COMPLETE SENSE TO ME.INSECURITY IS LIKE A SNOWBALL DOWN A HILL.THE LONGER IT GOES ON,THE STRONGER IT BECOMES,THE LESS MOTIVATED THE STUDENT BECOMES UNTIL "CRITICAL SHUTDOWN"(WHEN A STUDENT STOPS LISTENING AND TRYING ALL TOGETHER).I WILL DEFINITELY APPLY THE TOOLS I LEARNED TODAY. THANK YOU!

Adult Learners

When I first began teaching adults I thought it would be much easier because they are mature and have a purpose for going back to school.  I was a bit wrong and I learned so much through ED104 about different ways to deal with adult learners.  Although they may be a bit maturer, there are still things that they will try and you must have a good teaching plan and strategies for classroom management.

ED 107

I just finished the class.  It was very interesting, but I would have liked it to have been broken up into more than one class.  There was a lot of information thrown at you throughout the course.  Overall, it was a good class and I did learn a few new techniques for the classroom.

ED 109

I just finished ED 109 and learned so much about creating and preparing lesson plans. I cannot wait until next quarter when I can put together what I have learned and apply it in the classroom sitting. It has clarified a lot of gray areas I had concerning lesson planning.
