great course

Great Course!

I just finished EL104 and even if I have been teaching online for some time now, I have learned so many things about how we can use technology to help our students achieve their goals in the courses that we facilitate. I look forward to finishing more of the courses here.

Really good refresher course

Good course; wish we'd had more time to mull over and share in our meetings here at work.

ED205

I just completed the course, ED205, and I would highly recommend this course to anyone looking to improve and/or develop EQ (soft skills, emotional intelligence). I learned a lot of beneficial information from this course that I will definitely be able to use in the workplace, and I am so glad that I have chosen to take this class. Thanks, MaxKnowledge, for an awesome learning experience!

Great course

Even though I have been teaching in the online environment for the past 6 years, there was still a lot to be learned. Not only did this course confirm some of my own common sense practices, but it helped me become more confident as an online educator. Now I know some things that I didn't know before.

EL101

Great course for taking you back to basics on what is required in an online learning environment!

ED104

This is one of the best courses that I have ever taken. I never lost interest in the topics and I walked away feeling as though I have more to bring to my classroom. Much inspiration has come from this course. I think that this is one every instructor should take.

ED105

I really enjoyed ED105 and got a lot out of this course.  I will definitely be evaluating my assessments from now on and taking a look at my lectures to freshen them up a bit.

ED112

After taking this class I feel better equipped to give my students the best education possible based on what motivates them to learn.

ED106

I have just completed this course. This course reminds me that even after ten years of teaching that we have to account for all of the different learning styles within our classroom. It provided me with useful tips that sometimes you forget to apply to your everyday classroom.

ED104

This was interesting because it included things like students who are cheating, engaging timid and quite students, calming angry students and class clowns (just to name a few). This type information is extremely helpful and I am enjoying all of these continued learning and self help classes to provide me with the skills to handle different classroom situations.

EED 107

I just completed ED 107 - I learned alot accelerated learning, how to incorporate color, arrange seating, music, and smell into the classroom.  Some of these concepts I had not heard of before but plan on trying a few.  It is also important to be aware of the various learning styles of students.  I also found interesting the idea of how I perceive the capability of the students is projected unto them.  I plan on offering more challenging tasks in the future because I believe they can do it.

ED 108

I just completed ED 108 Learning Theory and Practice. There was a lot of good information in the course. There were links that I can use to assess my students and learn their learning preference. I particularly liked that the course gave examples of how the information can be used in the classroom.

Just completed ED102

Really great information to put into practice for keeping students engged and retaining them.

ED109 Lesson Planning

Great module, a lot of good info

ED311

This educational module was great! New ways of presenting information to students is always great, especially when using the common items illustrated in this section. Making your own games is also a good way for instructors to think about things they have been teaching in a new way!

ED112

I thoroughly enjoyed this class.

EL103 - Teaching Online: A Student-Centered Approach

I am trained a s an economist and have a PhD in the Management of Engineering and Technology. My main interests are in macroeconomics, and new technology. This course gave me suffuicient information so that I now feel equiped to create onbline courses. This information will not only be useful in my current position, but it may be quite helpful in exploring future opportunities. Overall, I was pleased with the course.

ED 106

This course was very refreshing. It has given me  a since of renewal and energy to work with the students in my class who fell under the "No Child Left Behind" Laws. They have been pushed through the educational system, and; when they get to the postsecondary level it is not only frustrating for the student but also the Professors. This course has offered to me options to work with and become more creative.

EL107 - Dynamic Instructional Design

Although I have been teaching many years, I feel I have built an additional solid base of knowledge as an online instructor and course developer after completing EL107. I thought EL101 was an excellent course; however, EL107 takes course design a step farther when dealing with course content, scaffolding, and blended instructional design to enhance hybrid delivery. I have taught on-ground and believe all on-ground instructors would greatly benefit from this course. This course definitely gave me quite a bit of ‘Food for Thought’ and a lot to consider, which is applicable to teaching online and Face2Face. Great course!
