This course has been very informative and helpful as I undergo my clinical teaching next week, some great pointers!
I found this exercise to be very helpful. I have used many of these tips to help me in the classroom in previous classes I have taught. However, it was great knowing that many of these tips others have used or reccommended as well. One of the main things I do believe is that we as class instructors and facilitators are in a position where we are constantly learning as well as the students. I teach many technological classes and I do find that I learn something more when I teach a new set of students. Things I did not… >>>
I found this course to be very useful information in helping students development themselves professionally and in becoming lifelong learners. Ideal information for the time we are living in.
I've just completed EL04 where I've learned some new student engagement strategies which I plan to incorporate during my next term. Overall I found the course informative, concise and throuogh. I also now understand the design of our course and the technology tools we use.

I just completed ED 202 on ELL learners. As a teacher who works with more and more ELL learners, I found the course to be interesting, valuable and offered me some cognitive strategies to employ in the classroom.
I recently completed ED107 which has given me the necessary tools to incorporate in to my daily lessons. This course offered me the opportunity to remember what it was like to be a student and view situations from their perspective at times. This course was was concise and well organized and I believe it will be of benefit to many.
I just finished taking the ED-104 course on Classroom Management Strategies. Although I've been teaching for over 20 years, there were a number of valuable lessons learned in this course. I particularly enjoyed the brief, but poignant video bits from Harvard instructors. The class deals with obvious issues-New Instructor Anxieties, Tuned out Students, Cheating, etc. But if you take the time to really read each segment thoroughly, there are some helpful solutions. I was especially struck by the advice that "all ambiguous communication" is perceived as "negative communication." It reminded me how important it is to be clear and not… >>>

Just want to share with anyone my practice of using AutoCorrect to save feedback comments that I use often. I define short character strings to produce large amounts of information content. When I write feedback, I do so in MS Word, and I am able to generate a lot of useful feedback with fewer keystrokes. For example,
When I type aparef, autocorrect changes it to read
APA errors in references (deduct x points). Check proper formatting for referencing at http:/
This is not restricted to feedback on APA format; I can also… >>>
I found ED108 very informative and will be applying several of the stratagies in the labratory
I completed ED 205 but found it lacking in my opinion. I thought there would be more about behavior and less about writing and computers.
There were some fascinating discussions in the EL103 forums. The topics that were covered in the course were really useful too!
I just completed ED203 and found it to be very beneficial. It gave me insight on best practices for implementing technology
I just finished the course ed110 on time and stress management. It was a very informative and helpful course. I will use what I learned in my professional career. thanks :)
Online courses, are also a double-edged sword when it comes to time-management issues and tools to access learning. On the one hand, students can complete coursework around their own work and family lives. On the other, online courses require students to be more proactive about finding time to do assignments with the right tools it easier.
I have taught online classes for 2 quarters now. I have not had the opportunity to develop a course. I found this information useful in case I get that opportunity.
Having completed course 102, I have been reminded of all the facets that need to occur in the classroom in order to keep a student's interest and motivation. How a student learns best (auditory, visual, kinesthetic) is important; but, equally important is why the student has chosen to be there, and how do they imagine this course will help with attaining their goal. The instructor needs to interact with all these aspects as the course progresses to completion. I have gotten some deeper understanding of what I need to bring to each student, and some valuable ideas to put into… >>>
