That sounds great Amber! Turning something negative into something positive is a great coping mechanism.

In our profession, we deal with many stressor, from our Managers, Co-workers and guest. But this stressors has different lebels of pressure. Over the years of experience we learn how to deal with them in a normal and most civilize way. We learn when and where to handle the situation if it's got to the max.

Experience also taught us to be ready to deal with the future stressor. I used my experience to weight all of them, and work my way to get through to the situation that both my stressor and I survives. We can only do so much, but if we get caught up with it, then that's the times, I am coping with my stress to voice it out to my best friend, my wife or someone you trust that you know no matter what they will give you the proper advice.

I will take the time to share my feelings/ experinces with someone who is able to lend a listening ear. Also, I really need to go for walks and runs and bike rides....daily!

I think I could spend more time talking about my stressors with all of those involved. Both administration and corporate leaders should be a launching point for my discussions.

This is always work for me. Sometimes we got into a stressful moment facing our student, I will excuse myself for 5 minutes and get some fresh air.

Sometimes we just need to breath and start all over again, also dong this help us to think the positive way to handle this type of stressful moment.

There is many factors of putting our self stress, and we should deal with it accordingly. Like in the Family, I just have to be open, I know they will listen to me, so the family member knows to help me deal with stress. But the student if you are Instructor or Teacher you can't tell them you are stress. Then the student might think you are not capable of giving good lesson or lectures. We don't want to set ourselves, to be the one caused of student stress or stress to others. Be aware Stress is contagious.

Wow, that is a another good way to keep stress go away.

In may case, I used martial arts training and exercises to ease my stress on my daily life. We cant avoid them, so we need to face it 'Heads on" in positive way. We just have to learn how to dealt with it, in more positive ways. It work for me all the time.

I have used many of the practices identified in this course and they really have helped me. The biggest challenge for me is actually sticking to them, but I do experience the benefits when I do.

Both physical activity and breathing exercises are great coping mechanisms Barry. Go ahead and give them a try one at a time. You can start small too.

Whe you actually incoporate these practices, I would like to know how and if they helped you.

I plan to use more effective coping mechinism like physical and breathing execises.

My animals and my husband who is my best friend helps me. My husband is a great listner and walking our 2 dogs is terrific therapy along with playing with them and our 2 cats. I call it my husband/animal therapy.
