Excellent response! There are many terms that are used in the enrollment process and must be followed according to rule. We always need to make sure that our prospective students understand what the terms mean as they are part of the contract they will be signing.

During the admissions process at our institution, we commonly use several of the terms mentioned in the first module of this training. One that comes to mind is the term accreditation. Because we are a law school, prospects are especially concerned with whether we have American Bar Association accreditation. Having this accreditation is a strong selling point for our institution.

Tour, is the introduction to the campus, where the prospective is able to view the school and make a decision based on the information given and decide whether or not to attend.
The most common terms and definitions used are program and enrollment agreement. In order to help define the best program for each applicant the programs must be explained in order for an applicant to understand them in detail. As a result of program understanding, the enrollment agreement term is used often as the policies are explained to each applicant. We look to make sure are applicants are well informed!

Accrediting agencies are classified generally as national, regional, or programmatic depending on their charter, approval, and scope.
Enrollment: Registering a student to take programs or courses at an institution when such registration obligates the student to pay tuition to the institution and obligates the institution to provide instruction to the student.
Enrollment Agreement: A legally binding contract that is signed by applicants to licensed institutions as well as by authorized personnel at the institution. This contract forms the agreement to terms of enrollment and provides disclosures which inform consumers of important policies of the institution, which their signature indicates acknowledgement of.
Program : A prescribed group of courses, taken in the proper sequence to attain mastery of a body of knowledge or set of skills, and leading to a certificate, diploma, or degree.

The Enrollment Agreement is an important document forming a contract between the student and the institution, binding each to specific obligations.
The Course Catalog spells out what a student can expect from the school during the course of his training.
A document called "School Orientation" lays out what the school expects from the students in terms of behavior and cooperation with established procedures.
"The State" is the staff's verbal shorthand for referring to the Florida Commission for Independent Education and the regulations they pulmigate.
We call people "recruiters" who are qualified to discuss the school with inquiring prospective students and are able to "sign up" (officially enroll) new students.
We use common terms such as, enrollment agreement, which is defined as a binding contract agreement between the student and institution regarding tuition cost, scholarship, financial assistance, student responsibility, etc.

I actually already posted to another topic of interested. Some of the most common terms used at our institute are agents, enrollment agreements, Academic calendar, and several of the same terminology outlines in our resource notebooks and in the PowerPoint for this first outline.

Everything must match no where it appears. For example the catalog that is on the website matches the catalog the campus. What we say in admissions must match what is in the law. This is truly what fair consumer practices is built upon.
