orientation - an event that prepares a student for their education at our campus. This involves a photo ID, meeting the dean, meeting the chairs of their department, meeting with career services, receiving their books for the upcoming term, receiving their schedule. Finalizing any outstanding financial aid issues, etc
financial aid appointment - this is the appointment in which the student will be determined his/her eligibility for grants, loans, schools own scholarship, etc. This appointment will also break down all the financial aid responcibility of the student and/or parents in full.

The program a student selects is very important for their success. Sometimes students enroll in the program not knowing what the expectations are and find themselves in a quandary. They may want to select another program and courses may not always transfer. Finding the right fit is key for student success.

An official transcript is the only way to verify a students previous educational record. The official transcript must be official in every capacity from paper to signature to watermark to stamp. It must arrive in a sealed envelope by the issuing institution addressed to the school. An official transcript issued to a student is not considered official.

Academic advisement
Accelerated program
Admitted student.
The transcript is the official document containing the record of a student’s academic
performance and testing history. The school at which a student is or has been officially enrolled
must issue the transcript, certified by the signature of an authorized school administrator. The school’s official seal or watermarked school stationery may also be used to authenticate the
transcript.
Federal Pell Grant- This grant is a form of financial aid provided by the Federal government to students whose FAFSA indicates a high level of financial need.
William Ford Direct Loan Program: The William Ford Direct Loan Program is administered
by the U.S. Department of Education to provide loans that help students pay for their postsecondary education.
Subsidized Loans: These loans are need-based loans with interest paid by the government and payments deferred as long as the student is enrolled in a post-secondary program of studies.
Work-Study Programs
Most colleges offer work-study programs. They allow students to work part time during the
school year as part of their financial aid package. The jobs are usually on campus and the money earned is used to pay for tuition or other college charges.
Payment Agreement- paid flexible payment during each semester of classes.

Degree: A diploma or title awarded to students by a college or university after successful completion of a program of study

Campus Interview: This is a personal, face to face interaction between an admissions applicant and an institutional representative; admissions officer, faculty, etc.
GPA - Grade Point Average: Quantitative measure of a student's grades. The GPA is figured by averaging the numerical value of a student's grades.
