Personally all the information is going to be in my resource notebook. This is a new frontier for me and I like to stay update with new rules and regulations. The one thing I did not know about my institution is the organization chart. I also plan to have a digital copy that is able to be seen by the entire institution staff so that there that there is transparency.
I've included all the information suggested in the reading for the notebook. I love the way all the pertinent information in readily available in one location!
julie,
Absolutely! The resource notebook should hold your policies, your procedures, advertisement slicks, etc.

It is important to place some school info in my note book . Such as agreement , tuition, school regulation etc...
My Resource Notebook is always accessible for easy access. It has everything from the list provided today plus the catalog, enrollment agreement and any current marketing campaigns .
Erika,
Excellent! You have built a resource guide that will serve you well. Continue to add additional material and update as necessary.

Mario,
The resource guide should be available to those who need it. We should have it open and available for all users.

I have found that a resource guide is extremely helpful in my daily role as an admissions representative. My resource guide includes rules and regulations, sample marketing materials, sample forms that are required by students, information about each degree program, etc. It keeps me well prepared and informed when talking to prospective students.
The resource guide is available in the admissions office and in the administrative office. It makes sense to have enough guides available for admissions staff to have access to information when they need it.
Tanya,
Excellent! Check the forums regularly as you'll find a lot of good information from your peers.

This is a great idea! As a founder for a new school I welcome suggestions on how to make things run smoothly. I will be shopping for supplies tomorrow and begin accumulating information. I plan to buy heavy duty materials because I suspect the materials will be referenced quite frequently.
Regarding the question about knowing the institution, I'm writing the catalog and employee handbook. There shouldn't be any surprises for me in either one.
Yvonne,
Consistency is critical in compliance. Every step of the way should be practiced in the same compliant manner.
Patty Aronoff
The Resource Notebook is an excellent tool not just for referencing but also training and consistency. The Admissions Director should make it an obligation for all Admission Personnel to have a Resource Notebook so that information being stated to the prospective student is consistent across the board.
Kristin,
That is so great to hear! The resource notebook is your best friend in your office. It is right there when you need it and always available.

The Resource notebook is the best asset to have. As you continue to build your notebook, you increase its value. Always make sure that your notebook is current with the most recent information.
Patty Aronoff
reina,
It is very important that we are all on the same page. No matter which admissions representative works with the student, the information should always be the same.
