In our school resource book I have placed our admissions enrollment form, school catalog,I feel like this is an very good tool to keep everyone in admissions on track.
There are many definitions and terms commonly used during the admission process. These definitions include – but are not limited to - an enrollment agreement and marketing. An enrollment agreement is a legally binding contract that is signed by applicants to licensed institutions, in addition to authorized personnel at the institution. This contract forms the agreement to terms of enrollment and provides disclosures which consumers of important policies of the institution, which their signature indicates acknowledgement of. Another term that is used often is marketing. Marketing is a general term that refers to an overall approach to promoting one’s school and its programs including creating, distributing, pricing, and promoting goods, services, and ideas.
My Resource Notebook has copies of Current Catalog, Enrollment Document, Price List and List of items to inform prospective students.
I was given a catalog, price list and student manual to explore and learn my first day on the job. These along with other documents are in my recource notebook and are always a good source of reference.
So far I have included all of the printable documents in the Resource Notebook. I was not aware of the restrictions on titles for Admissions Employees, I find it very interesting! I also learned that an institution must refund collected money if the applicant was not eligible.
Arilton,
Try adding ad slicks, frequently asked questions, organizational charts, and true success stories.

Autumn,
You will find the right title! The resource notebook will be your guiding force. May you continue on learning!
Patty Aronoff
Claire,
It will be well worth the effort. Your role within the school still requires you to understand and apply the rules. You will be glad you did!
Patty Aronoff
Letty,
Thank you for adding your definitions to the forum.

Accreditation- Accrediting agency : Accrediting agenicies provide volunteer membership for institutions and act as gatekeepers for the federal dunsing program participation if they are approved and recognized by the US department of Education. Accrediting agancies are classified generally as national, regional, or programmatic depending on thier charter, approval and scope.
Enrollment - Registering a student to take programs or courses at an institution which such registration obligates the student to pay tution to the institution and obligates the institutition to provide instruction to the student.
Program - A prescribed group of courses, takn in the proper sequences to attain mastert, of a body of knowledge or set of skills, and leading to a certificate, diploma or degree.
Title IV - The federal allocation of fund for post secondary education. Students who are eligible can use such funding at institutions which participate in such funding programs. Approval for participation requires that an institution be licnesed or approved at the state level, accredited by a recognized accrediting agency that acts as a "gatekeeper" for such funding programs, and approved for participation by the US Department of Education, having been in operation for a specific amount of time and in good standing with all regulatory agancies under which the institution is licensed or which it is approved by.

I am creating a functional resource notebook since it can be our "go to" reference for clarification. I placed our catalog, Student agreement and will add the rules and regulations since I just made copy of it on the start of this course. Please give me suggestion on adds on that will help me in the future with my students.
thanks
I started creating a wonderful resource book! I placed a catalog, a student handbook and an enrollment agreement in it. These are our only current marketing materials that are not online. The online materials mirror our catalog.
I learned that I cannot be called an advisor. I am having an identity crisis right now, but I will use this as an opportunity to find a better title!
Be Well,
Autumn
I don't have a resource Notebook, because as an admission Coordinator I am directly involeved with the students , I deal mostly with the files and delivery of leads, number and reports, so I will have start a Resource Notebook in order that I will be more prepared to help a student if asked
Parish,
It is a valuable resource and should by kept in a location that is readily accessible to all that use it.
Patty Aronoff
Parish,
It is always a good idea to revisit ad reeducate ourselves. We sometimes get too comfortable or stray from the true meaning. Coming back and reviewing the material keeps us sharp and on track.
Patty Aronoff
Alina,
Great idea! Check out CIE's website for updates on upcoming rule changes.
