Rebeca,
Regulations can come from many sources. From the Florida Department of Education, to the agencies of the state (such as Department of Nursing) and the accreditation bodies.

Jennifer,
Excellent post! All these documents have an important role in the student experience starting with enrollment and continued on through graduation.

Karen,
Students often do not understand the term accreditation. It is confused with the term licensure. The valUeof accreditation is different for everyone.

I have included board application requirements for the different programs that we have as well as job requirements for the profession of yhe programs of study.
Rules and regulations of the CIE as well as information about the fair consumer practices
I think the Resource Notebook is an important tool for the proper functioning of the institution and all departments should be aware of these rules and apply
It is important to explain to the prospective student policies of the institution, the program benefits and obligations of the student with the institution.
The most common terms used in the admission process in our Institution are Prospective Student, Enrollment, Enrollment Agreement, Programs and Regulations.
I didn't really have a resource notebook, rather my documents were in various locations (saved as favorites online and in a couple of different folders). Since taking the class, I have now organized it into one location; printed out what I had saved online and put it in the folder. What I think will help me the most is having the checklist with the section on the last time I went to the resource so that I can be sure I know when I printed out the latest documentation and that I am keeping it up to date.
The terms and definitions commonly used during the admission process are Enrollment, Enrollment Agreement,Program and Regulations.
Student Enrollment Agreement - signed contract between the student and the school which has the student's information and contact info; which states what program the student is enrolling in, what courses are included, when the classes are scheduled to start, how many clock hours are in the program, and when the anticipated end date of when the student will be finished with the program. Has the cancellation policy, refund policy, as well has grounds for termination.
Program Catalog - has all of the courses/programs that are offered, the history of the school, placement director info, equal opportunity policy, payment schedule, admissing requirements, graduation requirements, hours of operation, observed holidays, grading/standards of academic performance, student placement services, student services, rules and regulations, and cancellation and refund policy
Student Application - a form in which the student fills out giving why they are interested in enrolling in the school and why they feel that they are a good candidate for the school
Informing the prospective student(s) that the school is "accredited".
Discussing the different degree "Programs" that are offered at the school.
Letting the prospective student know that certain "Scholarships" are offered and can be discussed in further detail with the Financial Aid Dept.
I would like to know what you have placed in your notebook and how do you have you're notebook arranged.
Thank You!
Pat
If I could get some pointers on the best and easies way to compile and keep our notebook organized. This is a new thing for me to do. I am an oraganized person and would like to get some fedback on what works and what does not work.
Thank You!
Pat
I also added the rules and regulations to my Notebook. We have a brief description of them in the catalog but much more detail on the actual form itself. I have found this to be useful during the admissions process as the prospective students knows exactly what is expected of him or her.
Laura,
Keep up the great job in building a resource that will keep you compliant and provide you expert information in your role as an admissions rep.
Patty Aronoff
Patricia,
Excellent! Continue to add additional material for reference. When adding new or revised information, make sure to replace the outdated material promptly.
Patty Aronoff
essence,
Adding the marketing materials is great. You can connect to your prospective students by seeing the materials that brought them directly to you.
Patty Aronoff
David,
Thank you for your feedback. Your notebook can be developed in whichever manner that best suits your needs.
Patty Aronoff
