Leonard,

Security of information is very important. The security of student information is covered through FERPA, Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act.

Patty Aronoff

Chester,

Since I've begun taking the online courses, I have added to my Resource Notebook. These items will be beneficial in the future.

I have begun to compile a Resource Notebook. I've added a school catalog, an Enrollment Agreement and descriptions of the courses offered at this particular campus.
I've discovered the importance of keeping my computer locked when away from my desk as well as other steps involved in keeping information secure.

Financial Aid - federal grants, federal loans, private education loans, and selected scholarships from outside sources.

Programs - prescribed group of courses, taken in the proper sequence to attain mastery of a body of knowledge or set of skills, and leading to a certificate, or degree.

I have placed several of the documents which I discovered from these training sessions into the book. I have copies of rules and regulations and also many of our own documents including organizational chart and a copy of our enrollment agreement.

I was completely unaware of the resource notebook and now have a solid understanding of the usefulness of it.

I have learned more about what terms are allowed to be used to define an admissions person.

In our new Institution Resource Notebook for Admissions Representatives we have started by including the following documents - the MaxKnowledge Instructions for "Creating a Resource Notebook" as well as the "Terms and Definitions." Also included are the institution's Catalog, Enrollment Agreement, Program Outline and samples of our advertising. More will be added as the need arises.

I have placed all pertinent training information from my on boarding process, I have also included a few print outs of common questions, rules and compliance standards for my school. I will continue to add to this as my training continues.

After reading this thread - I quickly found the answer to other items which should be included in my resource notebook.

Should we follow a specific order in the placement of these documents.

Joseph,

Continue to add additional material to assist you in your position. Try product knowledge information sheets, ad slicks, and frequently asked questions.
