Catherine,
Make sure the students are provided full information on your accreditation agencies including contact information. Where did you receive a world ranking from?
Patty Aronoff
Tiffany,
Communication after enrollment is an important aspect of the new student experience. They need to feel their commitment is honored and real with the school. Not just another number!
Patty Aronoff
Rose-Marie,
Goals are the key components to achieving the dream. If they do not have goals and a plan to get there, then how do they determine success. Commitment is required to overcome any obstacles on the way.
Patty Aronoff
Marlene,
Students must be fully aware of these terms and how they are affected in the contract and catalog that they sign. Many need to be aware of the career opportunities available and begin to market themselves from day one in conjunction with the career services area of the school.
Patty Aronoff
Mike,
Marketing is finding the right advertising materials to capture your market of prospective students. The right marketing plan will save costs and deliver the clientele you seek.
Patty Aronoff
Angela,
Costs for school must be fully outlined to include all that is required for each course in the program.
Patty Aronoff
Michael,
Scholarships must be fully explained and the criteria published for all that apply.
Patty Aronoff
Robert,
Thank you for adding your terms to our forum.

Admissions representative- the student seeks to find out most all information on the school, it's offerings, and programs from this individual. The student expects him/her to have a wide range of knowledge on most any subject matter that pertains to the school. Therefore, the representative must be well trained, well informed of the offerings, the sucess rate of past students, the job opportunities, financial aid, housing and more. He/she in the students eyes is the one persone with whom they will recieve most all the information that will make them seriously consider the institution and thier offerings.
Accredation- Most student will want to know if the school is accredited, what that means, and what benefits the student derives from an accredited school. The admissions representative must know that the school has had much oversight, met with numerous compliance issues and sucessfully passed, and that student financial aid may be more readily available because of the accredation of the institution.
Enrollment agreement- They will want to know about deposits, refund policies, full cost, cost of financing, starting and ending dates, and more.
Enrollment- they will want to know minimum standards needed to enroll in the school, including age, GED or HS graduation, and pre-testing needed, and their basic eligability.
Scholarships- most students are interested to hear if there is any funds available for past academic performance at High School, or if scholarships are offered through outside entities to assist in offsetting the cost of attendance.
Acceptance- The students what to know the specifics of what they have to do to become enrolled. We refer back to the Enrollment agreement.
Credentials upon graduation- Students want to know if they get a diploma, certificate, or degree, and each course must be explained as to the certification granted upon completion.
These are the most common for me...
Some of the commonly used defintions used during the admission prcoess at my school would be enrollment, enrollment agreement, accreditation, and institution.
ATB: Ability To Benefit test. Entrance evaluation for students lacking GED or High School Dip.
MSAT: Manufacture Specific Advance Training. Advance traning and employment opportunities for students who excel in the program.
FASFA:P Free application for Federal Student Aid. This application open the doors to diferent financial aid products available for the students.
I have decided to put the institution's catalog and in my Resource Notebook. I also put in the enrollment agreement. I discovered a way to improve the accuracy of the enrollment process in my institution by using the resource notebook, I can answer prospective student questions in faster and more efficient way.
I have begun my Resource Notebook and divided it with tabs to make finding items easier. I find that it definitely makes it easier to keep organized and if rules change or get modified I simply change that page and move on. Also, if I have a question about something I have it nearby to look over.Great idea!
I am not sure if this is the same idea, but we keep all of our information in our course catalogs for the programs that we administer. It basically covers all of the requirements setforth by the Consumer Fair Practice rules. I am responsible for updating the catalogs as we get new information about changes to the rules.
Accreditation: provide volunteer membership for institutions and act as "gatekeepers" for federal funding program participation
Commission: protect fl students by providing oversight to schools in fl
Enrollment: registering a student to take courses at your institution where a tuition payment is required
Triple accreditation, world ranked, online application form and no application fee.
It is very important to be clear with terms and definitions and ensure the steps in the admissions process are transparent.

EA: Enrollment Agreement
Post EA Call: Call to outline next steps to a student after enrollment.
Part of our training manual we had a copy of the enrollment agreement, catalog, initial call guide. Now I rely on the information in the success tool.
I have added course updates, accredidation updates and all compliance documents. I learned that there is a great deal of material needed to stay current and on-going updates must be completed.
