We have a thourough notebook that includes compliance and program information.

I believe the resource notebook is an excellent tool to refer to while discussing things over with potential students. I have placed all of my definitions that were given to me in the modules along with copies of school policies, the school mission as well as overviews of each program that we offer. This way if I ever have a question or am unsure about a program that we offer I can simply refer to the notebook. I have all accredidation information as well. As I know our schools is very careful and up to date with everything.

Perhaps I may even consider placing some articles regarding any updates in the news about the importance of education or neat facts about education that I find in the newspaper that I can share or refer my future students too as well.

I have information regarding all our programs as well as compliance. I have learned that our school is very careful to follow state guidelines!

The most commonly used definitions used during the admission process are as follows: Interview, Enrollment Agreement, Representative, Accreditation, and Program.

So far, I have printed and placed the terms and definitions pages into my Resource Notebook as well as all of the printable pages from this training session so far. I also added some admissions papers specific to our school location. I added a marketing flyer of our that lists out the enrolling dates as well as a service menu. I also added the powerful questions activity and admissions telephone questionnaire we have for admissions interviews and phone calls.
Sometimes in meeting with prospective students I search for questions to ask aside from the standard ones, but in seeking out documents to put in this binder, I found a list of powerful questions that will help big time for me.

Stephan ,

Excellent post! As you have stated, many students are very well versed in the aspects of obtaining an education today and the questions to ask. As admissions personnel, we need to be on top of game being well informed and current with rules and regulations.

Students sometimes think that the FASFA form is a commitment to financial aid. It is a free application to see what funding is available for school.

Patty Aronoff

Damon,

Excellent presentation of your terms and definitions. The enrollment agreement along with the catalog constitute the contract with the student.
