Julie,
The enrollment agreement and catalog constitute the contract between the student and the school.

Brenda,
Thank you for posting your definitions to the forum. It is important that all definitions are explained in the catalog.

There was several things I did not know about rules and regulations such as marketing materials and strategies must meet certain standards.
The information i have place in my Resource notebook is concerning the Florda Commission for independent Education and the Accreditition- Accrediting Agency.
I did not know that some institutions accept life experience as credit.
I didn't know that non-public postsecondary institutions operating in Florida must be licensed.
I have been in admissions for 8 years and even though there are a lot of things I knew from my experience, there were certain terms that I was unfamiliar with and it is definitely useful. Thanks
i was not aware that a certain number of meetings are required with an accredited school.
Enrollment Agreement- a legally binding contract that is signed by applicants to licensed institutions as well as by authorized personnel at the institution. This contract forms the agreement to terms fo enrollment and provides disclosures which inform consumers of important policies of the institution, which their signature indicates acknowledgement of.
Program- A prescribed group of courses, taken in the proper sequence to attain mastery of a body of knowledge or set of skills, and leading to a certificate, diploma, or degree.
Enrollment- Registering a student to take programs or courses at an institution when such registration obligates the student to pay tuition to the institution and obligates the institution to provide instruction to the student.
I have the school catalog, program description and requirements among other small documents with additional information. I did not have the school enrollment agreement. I was, generally, aware of what the agreement said but did not have a copy because I do not usually sign those. I do think that it is a good idea to have that information and be able to review it with students.

We have a great training manual that continues as a reference and resouces throughout the workday. I particularly found highlighting key points in the enrollment agreement helpful. This way I can process the legal terminology with confidence when walking the student through the application process. It also brings pride to the session that our school is treating every applicant fairly and clear.
Some of the terms used in our admissions process are:
Program
Enrollment Agreement
Enrollment
Accreditation
They carry the same definition as that outlined in the course. I often find that the term Enrollment Agreement strikes fear in some of the students. They feel as though they are signing their life away. Does that seem to be common among most students?
I have everything in my resource notebook. Very helpful
I have place a Academic Catalog, Finacial aid Check list and the University Policy and Procedure Manual.
I frequently use the terms and definitions of Accreditation, Enrollment Agreement, Program, and Title IV during the admissions process.
I am still working on my notebook. But i found some interesting details about the academic student misconduct.
