Elsa,
All fees should be fully explained, both on the enrollment agreement and in the catalog.

Patty Aronoff

Ashley,
We should explain these terms fully and use every opportunity to discuss with the prospective student.

Patty Aronoff

Keisha ,

In order to be authorized to offer financial aid, the school must be licensed and accredited by an agency recognized by U.S.D.O.E. The school must apply to the federal government to be a provider.

Patty Aronoff

Sandra,

Excellent recap of definitions! They should be explained and discussed at every opportunity.

Patty Aronoff

Christina ,

Thank you for your post. Definitions are an important aspect of informing the student during enrollment.

Patty Aronoff

Jessica,
Transfer of credit is often a matter of controversy. Your school should have a statement in the catalog that transfer of credits is determinate upon the receiving institution.

Patty Aronoff

Caterina,

The enrollment agreement along with the catalog constitute the contract between the student and the school.

My notebook is set up to include the course curriculums, financial aid info including a sample FAPSA, the rules and regs notebook from the state, as well as many notes and definitions that i know i need to sometime doublecheck. My co-workers helped me set mine up during training.

The terms and defenitions commonly used during the admission process at my institution are accreditation, enrollment agreement and our programs.

Enrollment Agrrement, Catalog and Financial Aid.

I start my Resource Notebook with the rule 6E-1.0032,F.A.C., Fair Consumer Practices, the enrollment agreement and the catalogs. I will continue to add the other documents that were suggested. I think this is a great tool for everyone.

We use career services, virtual library, enrollment agreement, and financial aid on a daily basis.

At the Institution that I work for we use a lot of the following definitions;
Prospective student, financial aid, transfer of credits, International Student process, Student Services, Registrars, agreements, advertisement, regulations, policies, tuition fees among others.

We have all the information in the computer, but also we kept everything in a file cabinets so we can reach the materials when we need it.

I could summarize information that I have incorporated in my three years working as admission representative. Today I have all information that I need in just one resource, my notebook.

Enrollment Agreement, Enrollment, Institution and Marketing are used at our campus, daily.
They are all important terms that are thoroughly explained to each prosepective student.

1. FA/ Financial Aid- Title IV funding, college must be licensed to be approved. funding for students needing financial assistance to pay for classes.
2. Enrollment Agreement-Document that is legally binding between AI and student once signed. Outlines program choice, cost and length of program, rules and regulations, requirements

I haven't started my notebook just yet, I am still collecting the data I want to put in it. Some of the stuff that I would like to have are key terms, along with all the school history and data. I also want to add in as much about the schools programs as I can as well.

I have placed a print-out of each Section of the Rules and Regulations in my own Resource Notebook. This will be an effective reference for reviewing and refreshing. After reviewing these rules and regulations in further detail, I have disccovered that I was not familar with how closely monitored each institution is.
