Enrollment form: Contract that is completed between the school and the student at the time a student has decided to attend.
Student Handbook: Used to inform current and prospective students about policies, procedures, course offerings and other important information
As a new hire to my organization, I have placed information in my resource notebook including information regarding the schools vast history, a degree overview tool, and an organizational chart.
I think it's important when speaking to students that I understand our history and what we are built upon. It's even more important for me to have a general understanding/knowledge of all the programs we offer as well as a tool to use to speak in more detail about each program. The org chart is a good resource for me to know the hierarchy of our organization.
I have printed and placed all the recommended materials from this training in addition to information on all the programs offered in our campus. I find it helps in keeping me organized and I have all the information in one place.
The terms most commonly used are enrollment and enrollment agreement. At our institution it is very important that we explain the process to our prospective students.
Miriam,
Very good advice. The resource notebook needs to be a living document. We should add new material and remove outdated material on a regular basis.

The catalogue along with the enrollment agreement constitutes a contract between the student and the school. That should be your Bible.

Mercy,
Many use the electronic format. It's easy to update and very tree friendly.
Patty Aronoff
Karen,
You can use either format. The important aspect is that you create a resource available to you in the format that serves you well

The best rule is if you don't know, find out. The resource notebook will provide you the information you need.

Patty Aronoff
Sandra,
Many students confuse the term accreditation with licensing. Accreditation is achieved by a voluntary application to an accrediting body recognized by the US DOE.
