Andrea,
Both have their benefits and many use both formats.
Patty Aronoff
Melissa,
The resource notebook is a valuable resource and should be already to serve.
Patty Aronoff
Alex,
Start dates are paRt of the admission process. It should be clearly stated in the enrollment agreement.
Patty Aronoff
Enrollment, application, programs and start dates.
I have worked in Admission for over 10 years and even with that being said, I still like to refer to my Resource Notebook, because things are forever changing. I like to stay on top of my knowledge and resources just incase I may need to refer to something or just in case I am asked a question that I don't know the answer to.
I tend to save everything in folders on my computer. This is very likely a great and practical idea to have an actual binder\notebook so that no matter what tech issues may exist, I can access any regulations quickly. Also, I can physically show one of my representatives a policy in a meeting rather than have to wait until I ma back at my desk to email him/her later.
Whenever I question something I always go back to my resource binder to find the answer. It is very helpfull
Zulma,
The notebook should be updated when new regulations appear. The legislature in the state of Florida meets every spring. Rules can be updated at any time.
Patty Aronoff
Anna,
Great! You are using the notebook to its fullest potential.
Patty Aronoff
Mary,
The key to its success is being current. Once it's established it's an easy fix to keep it current we just need to be proactive.
Patty Aronoff
Kim,
By all means create your resource notebook online. Many people prefer to have an electronic copy with the availability of searching out information through search queries.
Patty Aronoff
Yomara,
It is a great asset in our jobs. Continue to add additional material that will assist you in answering questions or providing information to your prospective students.
Patty Aronoff
Keli,
When you are organized, you can remain focused and on target. It gives confidence in the ability to research any question comes up.
Patty Aronoff
Jana,
Even though a student signs enrollment papers, enrollment does not take effect until the student actually begins classes.
Patty Aronoff
LeighAnne,
Going through the accreditation process is exhaustive and expensive. The results of accreditation put a stamp of approval by the US DOE. It also allows you to be able to disburse title for money.
Patty Aronoff
Samantha,
It is great that you were going over the financial responsibility. As a student they are financially responsible for the payment of tuition.
Patty Aronoff
Melissa,
Excellent! Definitions are necessary in explaining the rules and regulations of the enrollment.
Patty Aronoff
Keli,
Class hours and class-size are important factors in the student's decision to enroll. Many students prefer schools that have a lower student to instructor ratio with a schedule that can work with their life's obligations.
Patty Aronoff
