Cheryl,
The resource notebook can be built electronically as well. Being able to search and find the information that you need from electronic files is a benefit for this type of notebook.

Patty Aronoff

Juan,

You are off to an excellent start! Continue to build your resource notebook with additional information.

Patty Aronoff

Patricia,

You bring out an excellent point to the table. We cannot commit all of the regulations to memory and it is a very good practice to look it up and remind ourselves of what the regulations actually state. This helps us to apply the regulations uniformly.
Patty Aronoff

Janique,
Definitions must be explained to the prospective student. They need to understand the language that we use as a relates to their education at our institution.

Patty Aronoff

The new regulations on texting students need to be added to the info as it has become more popular

sang,
There are many rules that students must follow. There are rules in the catalog as well as the rules of the student handbook as well as the rules of the state of Florida.

Patty Aronoff

Elizabeth,
Definitions are a very important part of the admissions process. In order to properly serve our students, they must be able to understand and apply the terms properly.

Patty Aronoff

Fritz ,

We useall of those tools in our intake of potential students. Whether it be a questionnaire or an assessment we are finding out more about our prospective students to make sure that it is the right fit.

Patty Aronoff

Tamara,

You will want to add the Florida Department of Health, Board of Nursing rules and regulations to your notebook.

Patty Aronoff

Jhannel,

Part of our role in admissions is finding the program of interest for our potential students. Many times students come into our campuses not knowing for sure what they want to pursue.

The terms and definitions commonly used at our institution are:

I inquired about our policies from our Administrator and she provided me with a manual that I will add to my notebook. I will update my notebook with any additional information as I receive it.

The commeon terms and definitions commonly used during the admission process at our institution are Enrollment agreement, enrollment, and program as well as rules.

I would add a section with the updated info. I would make sure I would update the info very 60 days. I feel that this important to keep up to date

Accreditation
Program
Enrollment Agreement
Title IV

Definitions are important and knowing the correct definitions is vital. Staying up to date and having current information is a priority...the above are just a few always discussed during the admission process

Some of our terms are representataive, orientation, applied student, catalog, questionnaire, assessment.

I've placed information regarding how my institution wants me to present information to prospective students. Also which information I am not authorized to discuss.

As an ecologically sensitive organization we have choosed to keep all of our College informational manuals and forms in a digital format on the intranet. In the administrative role I work in this is available to me full time and is very user friendly. I do however plan to print for my Resource Notebook the many Statues and Rules that apply

Some of the terms and definitions used during the admission process at my institution are as follows:

Program - A set of classes (curriculum) allocated for degree attainment.

ADN - Associate Degree in Nursing

Bridge Program - Student transitions from the LPN (LVN) certificate program into the RN Associate degree program.

Tuition - Monetary amount that must be paid to the institution in order to persist, matriculate, and graduate.

I am just starting with this College, I am starting to gather paperwork and docs for my Binder; For now, mostly the catalog, interview process guide, Lead Management guide, Program Brochures. Still waiting to be shown the apps/ Disclosures and EA's.
