I place pertinent information about my institution's policies and procedures. Information regarding accreditation, admissions requirements and general information that would assist me in adding students to make a well informed decision regarding where they will pursue their education. A lot of data regarding each of the various most popular courses of study went into my notebook as well.

At my insituition I have discovered using the resource note book that my insituition has multiple layers of ethics and compliance levels to ensure comlpiance and that enrollments are following and the state, federal, and internal rules and regulations.

I never knew that this was required but once we all received an email with the annual security report for each campus I realized how important it is to have knowledge about each campus. Interesting as well.

There are many but to mention a few there's catalog, admission requirements, application process - many terms under this such as formal interview then there's is also career services.

Our school is fairly unique, we are a school that teaches watchmaking and we are the only institution in the state of florida, and one of only 5 in the country.
Additionally, our school it tuition FREE, yes free.
So as you can imagine we have some different styles of conversations and definitions.
Advertising - we limite our advertising to our school website
Commission - does not exist since there is no tuition.
Program - this is based on a long standing Swiss Watchmaking program called WOSTEP - Watchmakers of Switzerland Training and Education Program

additionally - there is no obligation by the studnet to work for us once they compelte the two year(3000 hour)program.

we, the administration and instructors, actually get a smile out of explaining the benefits of our school, after all , we really do give something for nothing, and it's no often someone can honestly say that

Enrolling our students and what courses and programs are available to them based on their enrollment date and what they are interested in. Program, the different programs that are offered to the students and the new programs that are being created for each new semester/class. Scholarships that are available to students and how they are awarded.

In the past I have been big on putting things in files..ugg.. just to always forget were I filed them.
The idea of a handy notebook takes up SO much less space and its all in one place!
Love it!!

I use mine if I ever doubt myself or a co-worker of a regulation. It has saved me a few times. Very good idea!

I agree. I use my resource notebook as a quick reference guide. It's organized with tabs and I always have it accessible.

Terms that are practices at our facility is:
entrance exam
application
registration
orientation
enrollment agreement
catalog

I too believe that the EA and Catalog brings the sense of a "journey" as a parent and ex-student, I feel a sense of security and seriousness within the institution when it comes to having paper work such as an enrollment agreement signed; more so like a deed to a house, or a title to a car.

Inquiry, prospective student, career assessment, enrollment agreement, appointment

I've placed the definitions and terms, enrollment agreement, the statutes and and rules,my school's catalog, a marketing plan, our metrics along with a business plan, marketing materials, and program descriptions in my notebook so far.

One interesting thing I learned about my school is that we offer career services for the lifetime of our graduates.

Do all schools offer the lifetime opportunity of using career services, or is that unusual?

Since I have been in the Admissions field for quite some time I have found the Resource Notebook very helpful and check to make sure mine is updated each year when I complete the course again.

Some of the terms commonly used during the admission process at my institution are Accreditation, Career Services, and Cost. Sharing the school's accreditation information reassures the prospective student that we are a quality institution. Career Services helps the student find employment during the time that they are here and even after they graduate. Most students want to know what the cost of the program they plan on taking up before they get to Student Finance so the Enrollment team covers that with the student.
