I have a direct access to my institution´s catalog. It´s very complete.
Aditionally we have other documents that explain the admission´s procedures.
I have a question, is it necessary to print them or can I have my "Resource Notebook" in digital formats?
I have placed in my Resource Notebook various Florida rules and regulations, a copy our school catalog, as well as a copy of the policies and procedures, enrollment agreement, a copy of all advertisements the school is using. This tool will prove to be very valuable for myself as well as our institution and prospective students.
Maribel,
Congratulations! The training course will give you a solid foundation from which all good things will come. Learning the regulations is the first step in a successful career.

Christina,
I agree. When we build it ourselves, we have ownership. We are also learning just by building the resources.
Patty Aronoff
Ana,
Excellent! Keep on adding additional materials to enhance your resources. Check out other learning opportunities as we can never have too much knowledge.
Patty Aronoff
Marlon,
Make sure to add any additional regs that are program specific, such as nursing, massage, etc.
Patty Aronoff
Miguel ,
I often write my notes in the margins so that I can pinpoint to references I have looked up before. Another tip I do is write a corresponding reference to a rule that works along with that particular point (cross-referencing!)
Patty Aronoff
Melissa,
Welcome to Admissions! It is an exciting place to be. The resource notebook is a valuable resource to your new job. Build your notebook to work hard for you.
Patty Aronoff
Elizabeth,
The WITY(what's important to you) questionnaire is a great way to learn more about your prospective students.
Patty Aronoff
Denise,
Scholarships must be fully explained to the students so they understand the qualifications required and how recipients are selected.
Patty Aronoff
alain,
Just curious, where do the letters of recommendation come from? Are they professional references?
Patty Aronoff
Marlon,
Pre-requisites are very important when it comes to the selection of classes and the progression of the program.
Patty Aronoff
Melissa,
These are all very important definitions that need to be well understood and review to make sure they know how they are affected by them.
Patty Aronoff
rolando,
It is important to have that discussion so that everyone is clear about accreditation. Many prospective students are not familiar with the USDOE and approved accrediting agencies.

Patty, I am new, and just found out I needed to takes this training course and is very resourceful for me. I have acquired good informacion by just doing module 1 and taking the quiz. Thank you
I think that the resource notebook is a great idea and can be a beneficial tool when a person has questions regarding compliance. I think that creating and building your own resource notebook will create a better understanding of the rules and regulations rather than just receiving a manuel from your supervisor. It's like writing information down in your own handwriting tends to help people better understand and comprehend what they are learning. I am just beginning to assemble my resource notebook and I believe it is going to be a very helpful tool in helping me to become a successful admissions representative.

Some of the most used terms and definitions in our institution is the enrollment agreement which includes the application fee, the offcial Transcripts, valid Id or drivers'lincense, and 2 letters of recommendation in some cases if the student is willing to register for a master's program.
In my resources note book I have the rules and regulations for admission representatives. The institution's catalog. the admissions application, enrollment agreement. The programs and all classes required for each program of study. the contact numbers and names of all other departments including academics, financial aid , registrar, bursar. The job duties of the admission representatives. All updated material from administration regarding any changes to the admissions process.
I was completely trained and I am very knowledge of the complete admissions process. The Director has bi weekly meetings with us and keeps us up today on all admission requirements
