Charles,
Student should understand the meaning of therms as outlined by statute and rule. They should never assume.

Teah,
Advertising is such as important part of the admissions process in that it can not be misleading in any form.

I have placed definitions, admissions staff training process, compliances, admissions requirements and alot of other helpful information. I beleive that information from the catalog is also a good piece of information to have within the resource book as well.

I have printed out every section that I can and have placed them in my resource notebook. I have also put a copy of our catalog adn student handbook in there as well as our marketing brochures and program description sheets.

I have learned a little more about each of our programs having gone through descriptions for each one. I feel more informed and able to communicate to students what each program constitutes and the differences between them. I am also better able to help students make a decision about what would be the best program for them.

Creating a resource notebook is imperative. I did not know it was that valuable until I read and completed this course. I learn I must follow the rules and regulation on the information provided to the student prior admission to the institution.

I received a binder with information pertaining to the internal training process. It includes many helpful activities that have allowed me to get aquainted with many policies and procedures.

Frank,

I agree. The catalog is very helpful. It contains helpful information that both the student and the admissions representative and or agent can benefit from.

We used some of the same terms like enrollment, enrollment agreement, marketing and programs. Our students know these terms.

Progam, Accrediting Agency, Agent, Enrollment, Enrollment Agreement, Advertising, Institution, Marketing, Main Florida Headquarters, Rules, Regulations

The organization chart will also come in handy at my institution since I am a senior and everyone seems to want to come to me for everything. Having the Organizational Chart will help everyone know who report to while minimizing interruptions for my department.

Very Interesting.
I work for a small school in the process of growing. As expected there is a lot of new personel and having the Notebook will help everyone be on the same page. I am printing out the CIE newsletters as an addition to my notebook and making it available to those necessary.

The idea of having a resource notebook that I can always refer back to is great. I keep in mine, a copy of the regulations, the definitions, marketing materials, financial aid information, school programs information and a school directory.

copy of Section 1005.31 Florida Statues Licensure of Institutions, a copy of Section 1005.34, F.S. Fair Consumer Practices; Condition of Operation, copy of Section 1005.04, F. S. Fair Consumer Practices, copy of Rules 6E-1.0032, F.S. Fair Consumer Practices, copy of Section 1005.38, F.S. Action Against a Licensee and Other Penalties, copy of Rule 6E-2.0061, F.A.C., Action Against a Licensee; Penalties and copy of Subsection 6E-10032(f), F.A.C., Fair Consumer Practices. Also a copy of the school catalog.

I added these to my resource notebook as well. These are a must for learning!

I also have added these rules to my resources. I am in approved applicant status.

Sally,
Regional and national accreditation focus on separate sectors for education. Both are equally respected through USDOE for Title IV funding. The regionals are part of the accreditation bodies that focus on the public sector and those upper level unversities and colleges within our sector. It is very, very expensive to receive regional accreditation. The transferability of credits is determined by the receiving institution. Even if the receiving institution holds the same accreditation, it does not mean that all credits will be accepted.

Patty Aronoff

Region accreditation provides some assurance to student's and Parent's that there is some value associated with the courses and degree. National accreditation came about with the start of distance education. Business/certificate programs may not count toward a Regionally Accredited school for a higher degree. It is a transferable issue between Regional and National.

Shayla ,

Continue to add more resources to our notebook increasing its value.

Patty Aronoff

Patricia,
The more we know and experience the better we become in our compliance.

Patty Aronoff

Mary,

The notebook is the go-to reference place for those questions we have in the business that we are in.
