I am familiarizing myself with the various Florida Statues and Rules and Regulation that regulate our practices and our school. I follow the direction of my companies ongoing training, Admissions Directors understanding of compliance and DOE rules and regs.

Mayra,
Thank you for citing the website. It should be bookmarked on your web browser and referrred to at least once a month.

Brenda,
The website is a great place to keep informed on any changes through the Commission for Independent Education.

Patty Aronoff

I already save to my favorites the Florida Commission for Independent Education Website (http://www.fldoe.org/cie). This is where I am finding the information I need to learn relayed Florida Status and Rules and Regulations.

Mayra Rivera

Printing the statutes and rules is a great recommendation. Having been in admission for almost 4 years, the changes and updates are critical to assuring compliance. My binder is coming together through this course and I will reference the website each month.

I would have to agree with a previous poster that this course has been the most helpful and informative in learning the Florida Statutes and Rules and Regulations. I have also bookmarked the websites for the Department of Education and the Commission for Independent Education and plan to spend some time checking those out.

Raymond,

Excellent! By reading the regs and then discussing them, you are gaining further insight and knowledge of the subject matter.

Patty Aronoff

I have been reading them and discussing them with my Director of Admissions.

Carmen,
The CIE website is filled with valuable information and people to contact if you have questions. Check out their monthly newsletter for updates.

J. ,

The gainful employment law brings our sector to a new level of accountability. It is a very controversial topic.

Cameron,

Best of luck to you on your position. Learning the rules of the state is the best step forward as you launch your career.

Patty Aronoff

I have learned about the statutes, rules and regulations of FLORIDA by reading the information in their site.

I have been reading websites particularly USDOE and websites publishing the changes in the gainful employment law and chatter on the web about other proposed changes that could affect the education industry.

I am a first time Admissions rep and the outline is very informative.

Erin,
The newsletters are a great way to keep in touch with current activities of the Commission and any relevant information required by schools to operate in Florida.

Patty Aronoff

We receive monthly newsletters via email from the Commission for Independent Education. I make sure to review them thoroughly and take note of any rule and regulation changes.

Henry,

It is just the beginning of a great journey through compliance and ethical principles. The only way to do business.

Patty Aronoff

Denise,
Great teams will send to quickly to success. It is through such efforts that everyone takes care of each other and the students.

Patty Aronoff

This course seems to be an excellent way to master this material.

I have been reviewing the current Resource Notebook created by a co-worker. In addition the website and fellow employees are sharing detailed information on how our institution operates on a daily basis. I am very confident that I have a great team to educate me and support me through the training process and future information that is crucial to keeping up to date information.
