Ebette,
Having good communication channels is very important.

Clyde,
There are also Career College Central and Inside Higher Education websites that provide very good coverage.

Their newsletter should give you guidance on any new developments.

Both are excellent resources.

Dale,
The rules can change throughout the year. The CIE website will alert you of any changes or proposed changes. The website link from the CIE homepage will take you to the rules and laws.

Anthony,
Do you have opportunities to discuss these changes?

The way I am learning the various Florida Statues and Rules and Regulation that regulate our activities and our institution,is by enrollment of continue education course

Well I plan on implementing an outline for all rules and statues that are extremly vital to staying out of trouble. One way is to build an tree on my excell to which it will be labled. ex.
interview process- properly disclose all information dealing with what is required. ie. licensure, fees, etc, and I will attempt to do that with whatever is to be apart of my duties as an admissions rep

through the catalog and the FAPSC website

I try to bookmark the CIE website and keep up with any changes. Its not easy but the website is very viewer friendly

This online course has been a great learning tool so far. My admissions team meets weekly and our DOA will forward any new rules and regulations to us, as well as revisit ones that may need to be addressed. We also have campus wide meetings when any regulations need to be updated with everyone.

Since legislative requirements are fluid, we can keep up to date by utilizing COE and CIE Websites, attending various conferences, reading miscellaneous newsletters, and in-turn, conduct periodic meetings to disburse the current information to our employees.

I have a pop up scheduled in my outlook calendar for every wednesday reminding me to spend 15 - 30 minutes with either an online resource or printed material in my resource binder

We stay up to date with rules and regulations by attending various trainings, and through our Employee Portal.
