Every day here at school is a learning experience and when you get to speak with the people that teach, day in and day out, it gives a better foundation of knowledge to be able to impart to prospective students.

I feel my knowledge base of education is solid but I am learning the nuiances of my school. Specifically, the face to face interaction and file development.

I would rate my knowledge about my Institution quite well. I came on board through a newer Nursing Program which was just lanched about 5 months or so ago. Although it can become hectic in learning a newer program through it's development - I feel as though I am gaining knowledge / growing with this program being one of two reps thus far for this particular program. Right now I consider this program to be in it's infant stages & although change is frequent as it is with any newer program, I feel as though I am getting the best front row seat of learning the ins & outs not only of the program, but how much of a process it is to develop a program as well. I feel as though I am seeing all ends from every spectrum which is teaching me a lot not only about myself as a rep, but also about the school as a whole & how well they adapt to change.

My knolledge on the instituition is excellent since am the one who put all the programs together, I also helped with the catalog and that keeps me updated. I am in a very small instituition and that makes things easier and controlled.

Being at this level of position for a few years and with ongoing training and up-to-date information from my supervisors regarding the rules and regulations available to me, I am very confident of my knowledge to provide students who register and attend this institution the utmost professionalism available. That is not to say there is always something to learn everyday and use that to further my skills of being a competent representative for my institution.

Every day is a learning experience at work, I personally like to ask questions if I have doubts about a department or a class, that way I can serve and give better answers to my students and also I get the knowledge that I need in this field.

Deborah,

Even though many states are very similar in regulations, you must learn each state individually. This is where having your notebook handy will keep the regulations straight in your mind.

Mary,
Strong support systems are so important today. Students need to know there are resources and people available to assist.

Patty Aronoff

Timothy,
As long as you are open to learning, you will find a wealth of opportunities to grow within your field.

Even though I have worked for another educational institute in another state, I am finding a lot of differences in the way business is conducted. The policies, the rules and regulations are put into place to help and protect all. While I have just been at this institute for about 2 weeks, I am going around to all the departments getting acquainted with their procedures, also speaking with students.

Our institution offers several baccalaureate degree programs at off-campus sites around the country. I am located at one of those in Florida where we are currently offering three of the programs. This university has had a very strong on-campus support system for the remote locations. As a 29-year veteran of the university I have a very good knowledge of our programs that are offered in the off-campus environment and have been able to assist students in reaching their academic and professional goals. A good working knowledge of both local offerings as well as what is available at other sites and on campus has been very important. However, the intricacies are learned over time not in a few weeks or months.

I am still in my first week, but my knowledge is growing. I have learned the basics about my institution but am now set on learning the intimate details. I know the basics but am now learning the culture and how individual personalities fit into and define the culture. I am learning who knows what and who knows the answers to the wauestions I have.

Kathy,
Excellent! The more history and vision you know of your school, the more you can relay this information to the students.

Jairo,

ACICS is a national accrediting body. Your school should have this information in the catalog where student can seek further information regarding the accrediting agency.

Patty Aronoff

Robinson,

Congratulations! Hard work does pay off as well as honesty and integrity. You will have stronger enrollments.

Patty Aronoff

Charles,

Continue to develop your campus specific information. The more you learn, you can share with prospective students.

Patty Aronoff

Diana,
Congratulations! You are growing with your school and developing a strong knowledge base.

I know the degree programs that are offered. I know how many students that we currently have enrolled in classes. I know the start of each term. We currently offer 6 degree programs and are looking to open a business school.

I have learned that our accrediting body is ACICS and we offer Associates and Bachelors programs.

I have learned that if you take the time to learn your craft, remain steadfast day in and day out, my instution promotes from within. I am a living example of how fair my institution is. I've been with the company for less than 18 months and have moved up from an Admissions Representative to DOA.
