Conne,

Absolutely! I am glad you are excited about learning.

Patty Aronoff

As a new employee of my school, I am in the midst of training and learning about my school. I feel that knowing one's school and its offerings in depth are key to being a successful admissions representative. I look forward to obtaining this knowledge about my school.

Denise,

Many people forget that it is about customer service. We are a business and they are our customers.

I rate my institution relatively high. This organization has been know to be transparent in nature and we are constantly being scrutinized for due to size of the organization. We provide the best student experience and place a lot of dollars into training our advisor's. I believe we have excellent customer service from all departments, we provide exceptional support along with flexibility for our students to contact if they need something.

Norma Suzanne,

You will definitely want to add the Florida Board of Nursing regulations to your notebook. They also have an excellent website with meeting agendas for public viewing.

We have 6 campuses and we are the newest campus opened. We offer PCT, LPN, LPN-RN and RN programs.

Christina,
Excellent! We all need to be involved and stay involved. Having first hand knowledge adds to the interaction with the students.

Patty Aronoff

Marlon,

Try meeting with the other departments to test your knowledge.

JORGE,
It takes a village to graduate a student. Every department has a role to play in that student life cycle.

When I first started working at my job, I was not very knowledgeable about the different programs and the in's and out's of each one. After meeting with the program chairs I was able to gain a great deal of understanding about each one. Each chair took me on a tour of their classroom and showed me the specific equipment that is used in their programs. That was very helpful because I can pull from hands on experience and when I am discussing a particular program with a student, I will be able to give first hand knowledge information. I also know to that the more that I am involved and the more experience I gain, I will become more knowledgeable about the programs my school offers. I do not want to just learn out of rote memory (which helps with learning), but I also want to be interactive with my knowledge.

At my institution I am aware about all the programs and the requirements of each. I am discovering how each program differs and also the similarties and differences of each

In my experience, the best way is when you works directly with every department, as register, administrative asistant, financial aid, You can recognice details from each department, and you can rate your knoledge, how more and less you know about our Institution.
For example I discovered that some academic requirements are important to graduate

LaShon,
Staying informed is critical for product knowledge strength. Admissions is stronger through product knowledge which is a constant learning process.

I do consider myuself to be knowledgeable about my institution- i am a new advisor but i do take the time to study the catalog as well as the handbooks given out to students, i work closely with the different departments including academics and student services and i have requested access to classes and seminars that students participate in. i also requested that student services send me an update when they have workships for students so that i can be informed of the programs that are available for our student population. In staying informed of the various programs available within our school i feel that I am better able to assist students with general questions regarding other departments that may arise during my initial interview with them.

Jael,
As our foundation grows, we become more confident and assured. This is quickly relayed to the prospective students.

Patty Aronoff

Dana,
There is always something to learn in our sector, that is why we are here...never boring!

Patty Aronoff

Colleen,
Knowing that the institution is growing a program is very important. Communication in this situation is very important as the program develops and changes.

Patty Aronoff

Arilton,
Small institutions have an advantage of institutional knowledge.

Patty Aronoff

Susan,

You are so right! Even though we may think of ourselves as having a strong knowledge, there is always something new to learn and develop.

Patty Aronoff

carlos,

Questions are a great way to learn and promote learning. When a question arises, we all learn!
