Rhonda,

Wow! Very impressive. Think of the lives your school has changed over 100 years.

Patty Aronoff

Iris,

You have a very important role at your school. Being well versed in the regulations is a must with all those responsibilities.

I have the opportunity to work at my institution for over 4 years and because of it I know the school executives and staff very well, but even with our history, communication between our department and staff is always a challenge. It is critical that information regarding the institution, each department and employee’s duties and responsibilities are understood by all of us. Every possible reference to school policies and procedures, manuals, access the de CIE policies and training should be made available to all employees to make sure each person understands the do's and don’ts of the institutions.

It is not optional but mandatory to be updated on our school daily. Close communication with director, faculty and any other department inside the schools is key factor to succeed. The more I know the more effective I am

I am fully aware of my inst. We are over 100 years old. We have been in the busines of services the community and people for over 100 years. We provide skills to persons in the area of Janitoral and Culinaf Arts.

Communication and sharing of knowledge are keys to continued learning. Ask questions and share experiences.

Patty Aronoff

Zachary,

You have the privilege of holding opposite perspectives, one from the student side, one from the institutional side.

Patty Aronoff

Michael,

The history, mission, and values is key to understanding your institution. They tell you where you have been and where you are going.

I feel my knowledge about my institution is very good. I am very familiar with our catalog and enrollment agreement. These have the necessary information needed for me to know the rules and regulations which must be followed. I am also the one who updates any necessary forms, library and any pertinent information needed.

I believe I have a lot of knowledge, but my school is brand new in the community. It has another campus, but just opened this one a few months ago. Due to that, here in this office, I had to take it upon myself to learn as much as I could about the school as well as the policies and procedures. However, even with that I find I learn something new every day. The best part of my job is sharing my passion for helping people pursue their dreams. I try and learn something new every day, and I want them to as well.

I was involved in process of renewing our license last year. It was challenging but exciting experience specially when you may give things for granted. Everyday is an opportunity to learn new processes or redefine current ones. This module opened my vision that things conquered are just opportunities to discover beyond.

It is very important to acquire all the knowledge you can, is the only way to help your students and make the best out of your institution.

Hello Patty,
I have been working as a Graduate Education Program Coordinator for a year and a half and am still learning.
I advise for most of the LSI/NIPP programs including Dr. Marzano's Art and Science of Teaching programs.
While I have access to much printed and online materials, I find that no matter how much I read I still have a lot to learn. In fact, I learn the most from the people with whom I work. The institutional knowledge is key.

Well, being that I'm a student at my college as well I did in-depth research before I enrolled. Going through this process made me aware of the areas we could improve and the areas that are great. At this point I would definitely rate my knowledge of the college on a scale of 1-10 a 9.

I have a lot of prior admissions experience but it is my first day with this particular school so right now I would rate my knowledge about the institution at about a 50%. Although I have read and understand the catalog and admissions process, I think at FULL understanding of an institution comes with time, experience and the assistance and training by other faculty and team members. I have discovered a lot about the history of the school and our mission and values.

Anitere,

Being a student as well as an employee brings a deeper respect for the job that you are doing. You have seen both sides.

Patty Aronoff

Anna,
When we put students first, we gain the perspective of customer service and how can we provide the best experience of their education.
