Thank you Patty, as this will be part of my additional job responsibilities at the institution, thus it will provide me with up to date knowledge to best service all parties involved.

Amy,
Checklists and guidelines keep everyone on the same page and compliant. They are awesome tools.

Among a weekly staff meeting where all departments meet we have individual department meetings were we invite other departments in if needed. I have a daily meeting with my admissions director to go over objectives and daily, weekly, monthly goals and how are we doing with them. I regularly sit down with my our Director of Regulatory Affairs and go over any updates to our handbook and regulations. As a member of the admissions committee I also meet twice a week with the committee to go over student applications. We are constantly going by checklists and guidelines in this office.

My team here meets daily (once in the morning and once in the afternoon). Our Director of Admissions go over any changes or updates in policies. We also discuss goals and plans for that day and the following (depending on which meeting it is). We also have a training session on Friday mornings.

I haven't been here long enough to know what other types of meetings we will have.

Patty,

I have had the pleasure of attending meetings/workshops, such as the ones provided by FAPSC - these were extremely benificial in my understanding of regulations and policies.

We have daily meetings. This especially comes in handy if anything as far regulations or duties have changed hands.

As an Admissions Representative who is the first point of contact for any prospective student, I must attend when required Marketing meetings, but must attend Recruiting meetings. I have been priviledged to be part of our institutions CIE's annual review of licensure preparation committee. It is within that process, CEU courses, school catalog, policies/procedures and operations manual and FLDOE.ORG site that I am able to keep up to date with all mandated requirements.

Maureen,
Also check out the state school association, the Florida Association of Postsecondary Schools and Colleges (FAPSC)as they are your representatives in the state.

Annual meetings held by accreditation bodies and their workshops are a good source of knowledge. FL Commission meeting attendance is helpful. Department of Education conferences and Veteran Affairs workshops are good sources to stay current.

We have daily meetings that are short to share info; a longer meeting is scheduled for Fridays, but normally we don't need the entire time due to items being reviewed daily as they come up. We also have a bi-monthly meeting with the entire organization to share what is going on and changes that are being implemented.

The meetings are very important work, and to keep staff updated and motivated.
