kristen,

If you are unable to attend, you can watch online through their website. They webcast the Commission meetings. Just click on the link for agenda information and you will see the instructions. Really easy to tune in.

I attended admissions meetings and trainings to keep learning more about my job.

I plan on attending as many of the commissions meeting s I can. I also plan on visiting the commissions website regularly.

We have a bi-monthly staff meeting with the President of the school, who is also the Director of Education. We have the opportunity to discuss those topics at that time.

James,

Great! Having opportunities to share knowledge and ask question is vital to the growth of your department.

We have reguler staff meetings weekly where performance is checked and also ideas are shared as to what we can do to improve performance.

There are several ways that I am able to learn more. First, in meetings with my manager we discuss policies, procedures, requirements and opportunities for professional development. Next, I attend team meetings where I am able to learn more about my role from my co-workers. In addition, I have also attended meetings where faculty members teach us about the courses they teach to our students. All of these opportunities allow me to be more knowledgeable when speaking with students.

Attending commission meetings, talking to faculty and staff, and utilizing webinars and training have allowed me to acclimate faster to the education industry.

I attend meeting on accreditation and affiliations, version changes to programs, updates to policies and procedures as well as weekly team meetings and monthly staff meetings.

Monique,

Excellent! You should be proud of the fact that your school is promoting learning.
