My thoughts and feelings about the Agent's requirements are the same. I think everything that I learned had been taught to me by my trainers at work

I have discovered that there is certainly more information that we must know as agents in order to perform the job well. Staying current and knowledgable about all aspects of admissions is vital to the success of the enrollment process as well as the success of the student. I am glad to see there are so many resources available, and I hope utilizing the resource notebook will help keep me up to date.

I agree with Corey. Be honest, know your product, educate yourself in complying with state and federal regulations and you will have a successful career. I learned alot from this course and enjoyed it.

I am thankful to know there are so many requirements and that my school takes them very seriously. I feel I've found a great school to work for!

The role and importance of the agent cannot be under stated. The agent is frequently the person that helps the prospect ultimately determine if they will attend the institution or not.

As an agent I have an obligation to the student to provide them accurate and pertinent information. This not only ensures that I am following compliance regulations but also at the same time builds trust between the agent and student. Showing that you are knowledgeable also eases the student's anxiety that they may have towards going to school. When I first started, I was so conscious about knowing the material that I had a harder time of enjoying the student. Now that I have gone over the material numberous times, I can comfortably interact with the student while displaying that knowledge at the same time.

I feel much more informed and confident. I especially like the resource notebook and plan to expand that concept to other things in the office!

I believe it is very important to get the knowledge of any educational agency and its requirents from day one. I feel confident that the information obtained during this course has only improved my ability to help potential students with there goals by giving correct guidance and direction to help them make a decision if we are the best choice for them. When I started this course I was familar with Agent requiremts from my previous experience as an Agent and Manager of another educational institution, but now I am very happy to have received and educated myself with OACCS requirements. Thank you!

Good morning Kimberly and thank you for your question. I must say that after completing this course I have a new found respect for our agents throughout the country. I was aware that the requirements were, and are quite complex but I see now that I had been minimizing. That is to say I was unaware of a number of important topics such as "state refund policy","marketing plans" and the value of a solid "resource notebook". This course has certainly broadened my view and I look forward to utilizing this new found knowledge in my career.

They are more than I expected, quite frankly. The laws, rules, and general policies are certainly geared to protect the prospective student, as it should be. I have found the course to be very thorough, and the information provided has been easy to follow. I can see where the monthly check up on laws and policies will be of great importance.

I think that the Agent's requirements are complete and indepth, which is extremely important. I think the Agent is often the prospective student's first contact with possibly any school investigations. Therefore, the Agent needs to be completely informed in all areas of their school's policies and procedures as well as state regulations and all of the school's admissions requirements for all programs.

I think the Agent's requirements are so imperative. I was not aware of all the rules and regulations when I was a student and to have this knowledge would have been useful. In order to be a helpful admissions recruiter, it will be vital for me to know all of this information.

I work in mostly B2B training where discounting of courses is very commmon and allowed. When dealing with invididuals though even if they are at work you have to be very careful about discounting. You cannot do it if they are paying for the training out of their own account. I knew this a little, but have a much better understanding then before I started this course.

Even after 19 years experience in admissions in an accredited school I realized I'm still learning! This course was excellent especially the "resource notebook".

This course was a nice follow up, and a more in depth explanation of the rules and restrictions that cover the world of Admissions. We know the rules, but we don't always know why.

I am a very new admission's representative and have found this training to be be very valuable. There are details in the course that I had not been aware of. I feel better prepared to do my job with more confidence.

My school prepareed me well as to what would be expected of me as an agent and how I would have to pay close attention to compliance matters. The course hasn't really changed any of my feelings about what is required of me. However, it certainly confirms that what I was told by my supervisors is spot on with reality. It is important to follow the rules because that is what is best for the student and the school!

I suppose I didn't realize the repercussions that an admissions representative can face. I am please, however, that these codes are in place. I am a huge fan of education and I think its great that there is a body out there looking out for the welfare of the students. Choosing a school and career path is a major decision in ones life, and you really do need all the facts in order to make a well informed decision. I came in thinking that I would just be helping people change their life, but after going through this course I also realize my responsibility to the student as well. The suggested scripts that were given to me make more sense, as I understand the importance of wording and full discretion. I hope to use the information to my benefit.

I'm glad we've got these requirements before we head out into the field for a couple of reasons. I don't want to mislead anyone, or provide them w/inaccurate information.
We hear stories about recruiters that have mislead potential students/clients and then the negative repurcussions b/c of it. I'd rather take the time now to learn instead of having regrets.

I think as an agent you have to remember that there are always opportunities to learn more. Since policies, programs, and rules are always changing and adjusting, it's important to keep and open mind and to stay up to date on the most recent updates of important documents and policies. I think the Resource Notebook is a great learning took and can be a great reference to an Agent. I plan on keeping my Resource Notebook handy at all times and saving any important bits of information to add to it.
