I agree, this course pretty much met my expecations of what the requirements are for a Rep
I understand and think the requirements are fair, compared to all of the knowledge this position holds and is key position to help the students
I was aware of the requirements before, but it is always important to refresh the material and keep up to date.
There is a lot more to it than I originally thought. I feel very much more prepared, knowledgeable, effective and ready to do a good job for the prospective students. The Resource Notebook will be a very welcomed tool!
I think an agent needs to be well informed. The training is a good process.
I feel the requirements are very high for this position, and rightfully so. It's all done to protect the ethics of admissions. It's important to have a good understanding of what and whatnot to do
A successful agent is always learning and always evolving
My thoughts; it keeps you sharp. I personally enjoy learning and most importantly being accurate when passing information along to others; considering that this is a life changing decision for our students.
I feel that everything I was told prior to this training was accurate no the job description and responsibilies that I am going to have.
When I first started, I knew that there would be a lot of information to learn and to know. After taking this course, that statement is still true but there is a lot more information to know than I realized. Learning the different rules and regulations is something that will take a while but learning it is essential to doing well at my job. Reaching out to people in different departments is a great way to learn and to get the information that I need for my resource notebook. Staying updated with changes is also essential for me to exceed at my job.
I think that the agents requirements are very strict and for good reason. We as agents want to provide the best and most accurate information that we can. Even though this means constantly reseaching and updating our current practices, it is worth the time spent. It is also worth noting that spending this time ensures that you, your institution, and everyone you come in contact with are following the best parcatices in the field.
I had no idea all of the regulations and agents requirements. All of this information is very new to me and my role. This course has been very informative. I have learned a lot regarding my role and what the requirements are. I also think the course was very interesting and hope to take more courses in the future.
Staci I agree with you, it is nice to get a refresher from time to time. It is all about the student and we all need to be our best for them.
The course is structured to make sure you and your organization are all on the same page. I like how many of the scenarios are spelled out and the course work allows you to work through them.
It's good that there is on going training to keep employees current.
I am new to this industry and have found this information to be very helpful.
The course hit on most of the guidlines we have already discussed in training. However, it was nice to have all the facts in resources in one, organized location.
The rules and requirements of the agents responsiblities are more clearly understood now that I took this training course. Being a new hire I was not aware of everything that an agent actually has to know, but now I am fully informed.
I understand that there are many requirements, but these requirements are put in place to help protect the student, the admissions representatives and the institution.
I also now understand that these regulations might change and it is important to keep up with changes and make sure I attend trainings that my workplace offer on this subject.
I agree. I think it's always great to come back around and have a little refresher. It does keep you out of the "auto-pilot" mode and by reviewing the information it may bring something up that you haven't forgotten about but may want to emphasize a little bit more. The educational landscape is constantly changing, just like everything else these days.
