Accreditation seems to be increasingly important as students are looking at academic reputation and potential employment opportunities upon graduation.

Accreditation seems to be increasingly important to alot of potential students as they are taking a serious look at the academic reputation of schools considering attending. Students also are realizing that there might be a potential advantage, having attended an accredited school, when searching for employment after graduating.

Our school accreditation shows protential and current students how much we value their education by showing that we're serious with what we teach.

One thing that I have seen is confidence in the prospect. Once of the first questions that parents typically ask is if my institution is accredited. I feel if I had to answer ‘no’ to this question, many prospective students would lose interest right then.

For a technical school, I think having accreditation makes us seem more reputable with potential students and their parents

Students expect accreditation from our programs. Student satisfaction and the potential for increased enrollment come with accreditation.

Accreditation is becoming more and more important as the competition for students increases. Graduates moving from one degree to another are finding accreditation is a must to have their prior knowledge recognized.

One of the benefits of accreditation is that is provides a guide for best practices for the institution to adhere to.

I have always found it a bit strange, how much misinformation and ignorance there is out there involving accreditation. Some students I speak with see it as a way of telling if the school is a good school and will only look at schools that are accredited. Some as a way of "hedging their bets" for success when choosing a school. Also, some don't even know what it is but are seeking it because of the positive light it gains in the media.

Whereas I do see accrediatation as a positive thing for a school, I definitely attempt to make sure students have only the clearest understanding of what accreditation is if I find out they are misinformed, so that they can understand what it means for them in their individual circumstances. I find that when they are clear on all topics of importance to them, they tend to be more confident in their decision making.

Accreditation also helps parents of prospective students feel that the tuition costs are a better investment as well.

There are many advantages of having the school or program to be accredited. The reputation of your school will increase because of the accreditation. When the reputation of the school increases so will the number of students interested in the school.

We have some students for whom accreditation may mean whether the employer accepts their training or not. Education is a way to improve their income earnings potential.

Accreditation is usually a factor for our students in their research of educational opportunities. We offer both institutional and programmatic accreditation and I love being able to explain the process of that to a potential student as they select a school that is right for them for their career goals.

having accreditation also making placement of students easier. when you have an education from an accredited school, the employers look at that as a positive point on your resume.

Accreditation has been a differentiating factor for enrollment at our institution. It shows that our administration and staff have taken additional steps to ensure that our programs not only meet basic guidelines but also strive to achieve acceptance through tougher institutional and programmatic guidelines from accrediting bodies. This relates to a greater probability of employment for our graduates.

There are numerous positive factors to being accredited. The reputation of the school, employment options, and quality of education. Instructors are drawn to schools that are accredited and with well known reputations. Students go into their fields with positive feedback from the schools they attended and are excellent reflections of the knowledge gained from these institutions.

Accreditation goes to credibility!

It's always nice to talk to potential students about the importance of accredition. I always let students know if they ever want to continue beyond a diploma or associates degree to look for a school that is accredited.

I think the third thing would be the expectation for excellence that accredidation requires. It sets the bar pretty high, and those willing to work hard and expect certain results are the ones who stick around for that process. Its much like taking classes or going to college, it changes you, and changes the environment of the school to something better, something more. The culture that the higher expectations develops is an advantage in itself.

I feel that other than the financial aid and professional licensure requirements it provides us with a good reputation within the community. Students want to know their college is accredited and that there is a governing body in the event of wrong doing.
