Your Frequently Used Materials
What materials do you use to provide information to prospective students and what additional information or materials would you like to have to assist your students?
Just started using a type to text program that has been working fairly well. Students often won't answer your call, but will respond to your text.
We use the same information at our campus as well.
At our school we also use basically all of the same information that you use at your campus. We have also added U-Tube, Facebook, Social Media, etc.
Texting is also another form of sending additional information or a source to ask questions.
We offer in addition to a catalog, degree maps (degree requirements), virtual tours, and if requested financial aid information and tuition costs. I would like to have access to more online/ interactive materials.
I usually go with my brochures. We have two sets, one for each course of study and a consolidated version.
We use flyers and course breakdowns. We also have testimonials from graduates that students can see on the tour. We also have them meet with FA on the first meeting.
I always have my website open, and I make sure that I have quick access to program descriptions that are easily found thorough my system. This helps me to have information at a moments notice.
We use power point presentations and websites to assist our students. I would like a more interactive website especially for our online students.
Maria,
These all sound like wonderful resources for prospective students! Thank you for posting!

we provide brochures with all the courses information,we send them emails and programs descriptions, and we invite them to come and evaluate classes. our website has plenty of information. for Financial Aid they need to come in. we also assist them with a payment plan if necessary.
NaTesha, Interesting! Do you speak with the student prior to sending all your information?
Elizabeth Wheeler
I utilize emails that give general information regarding the program. I also send the catalog, and I direct students to our website, as well as, www.onetonline.org for outcome information.
Paul, A career prospect handout could be very helpful. What are the next steps you will take to create this document?
Elizabeth Wheeler
Supportive tools we use would be catalogs, our mentor's biographies, and videos of student work (acting and filmmaking). I would like to have hand-out information on career prospects in our industry.
Most of our students are online. We email information about our school and our programs and then try to include "3rd party proof" sources, which is information from a separate source that re-states and reinforces what we have said. A good example would be to provide information from our school that outlines salaries for a specific profession. Then add an additional "3rd party proof" from an source such as Salary.com. If they are hearing the same information from numerous sources they will see the validity of it.
Deborah, All great materials! Do you customize the information to the student before you send it?
Dr. Jean Norris
We have the catalog, addendum, flyers, a Powerpoint presentation, student consumer information, and the website.
Leon, Great suggestion. What are the steps you will take to integrate the computerized presentation?
Dr. Jean Norris
Information currently being used are marketing brochures. The Bureau of Labor Statistics is also a great resource. I would like to add a computerized presentation to our admissions process.
