I like the references I am seeing to "full disclosure" on this discussion topic. The more schools that practice this, the better for the industry.

Floreda - Great to see the multitude of communications with students regarding disclosures.

Nida - it's great to see such high frequency of communication and training!

Rozel - this level of transparency is commendable!

Our department has weekly trainings. Each week, we are given updated information. When we meet with our student's, we ask the students questions to ensure that correct information and current disclosure is being communicated to the students.

Admission department will explain this disclosure to prospective student and once student read it, student will sign and give them a copy and also a copy for the file.

Students and prospective students receive full disclosure in a number of ways: in dialogue (both over the phone and in person), in writing (handouts and catalog)and during the interview process.

In brief: we practice full disclosure. A prospective student's questions will be answered when they call in and during the in person interview process.

Lisa - it sounds like you have a lot of places where such disclosures are covered! It's a lot of information for people to digest so, it's good to have it in multiple places to reference.

It's good to hear that these topics are covered at meetings and thru internal email communications, Nida. Are you also aware of how such information is shared with students?

Every student meets with an admission rep. During this time the rep. provides the students with all necessary disclosure pertinent to the college and program. After the student signs off on it, it is kept in their permanent file. Not only does this allow the student to "revisit" all of the paperwork they signed at admission, it also allows a checks and balances for when files are audited.

In our Friday meetings, our DOF includes different trainings and updates to ensure that we have the most current information. We also receive e-mail updates.

We have disclosures in our emails that we send. We also have disclosures on our website.
In addiiton, our school catalog, contracts, and applications all have disclosures that we go over thoroughly with all candidates.

Our school ensures thats prospective students receive a copy of our disclosure form at the time of our interview with them. The student leaves with our catalog, addendum and our disclosure fact sheet providing all of the appropriate information.

We are a full disclosure school. We provide students with all necessary documents that shows our completion, placement, earnings and cost before or after interview. We disclose anything prospects want during any calls.

We must have several discolures available at all times, including 1 disclosure on the tentative that when paraphrased, states that "this signature does not mean that you are enrolling. Proper enrollment information must be submitted to the Admissions Team for Enrollment"

Our admissions department provides all required disclosure materials to prospective students in a packet. Students sign an acknowledgement that they have read it and understand it. Our Institution follows requirements carefully to ensure compliance.

We have the same practice here. The prospective students sign each disclosure and it kept in their academic file permanently.

Information disclosed to prospective students during the initial recruitment meeing with Admissions rep. In addition to providing every prospective student with a school catalog and catalog addendums, the Admissions Representative also provides a packet of disclosures and has them sign an acknowlegement form.
The Career Services Department in conjuction with the Corporate Office are monitoring the placement rates on a monthly basis to have most updated info on placement rates, whic later is updated for Admission Reps disclosures.
We also monitor on the monthly basis our drops and graduates to calculate the % of "on-time" graduation rate. This is also disclosed to prospective students during enrollment process.
Prospective students have a tentative appointments with financial aid, where they discuss the actual costs to attend school and estimate their potential eligibility for financial aid. So students already know what will be their own debt upon graduation and what costs are involved in receiving this education.
Then prospects come back after evaluating this information and if they are willing to be enrolled, they sign an enrollment agreement that has all charges and rights to cancel and refund policies disclosed on that document.

Disclosure acknowledgements are very important if a student later questions what they were told in the admissions process.
