Hi Jose:
Good. Besides feeling good, if we intervene early on, the student has time to make adjustments and see the corrections reflected in their grade. It's a good time to reinforce our care, encouragement and support as well.

Hi Connie:
What sounds good is you have an early intervention method of getting with your students early on. Great!. I also use this time to encourage and offer support as well as advice and suggestions. Helps build trust and respect.

Hi Anna Marie:
Right. I think frequent and eraly-on status reports helps most becuse this gives the student a chance to correct and improve, make the adjustments needed, and see it reflected in their grade.

I talk with my students if they fail the first two tests/quizes. This lets me know about struggle the student is having at home, work etc. and I can make proper recommendations, encourage and tutor if necessary.
Informing students of their status in course will help them to motivate to the goal of learning. If the student is not doing well, they can get tutoring and pursue additional work to bring up their grade. If the student is doing well, it will motivate them to continue to do a good job.
So that they consistently know where they are in the course to give them a sense of security.
Hi Angelia:
Frequent and early-on sharing of grade information helps in a couple of ways. It informs the student, gives us an opportunity to advise and offer suggestions, and gives a chance to encourage and offer support. There needs to be time for the student to make adjustments and for their corrections to have an effect on their grade.

Hi Althea:
I think the frequency you're meeting with your students is terrific. I hope they appreciate the time you're giving them. It's really ideal.
I think you'll always have some that want more for less (more grade for less work). Well, we can lead them to the path, buth they're going to have to do the walking and heavy lifting.

It is important to keep students informed of their progress during courses. This provides an opportunity for the student to remain motivated and encouraged with their career and educational goals.
Certainly! I send my students emails everyday keeping them informed about upcoming assignments.
Hi Laura:
I think the more frequent and eraly on we speak to students, the better. This gives us a chance to connect, encourage, and also time for the student to make coorections and see it reflected in their grade.
Regards, Barry
Right. There is no substitute for naking the students feel that the instructor is talking to them and relating their learning to what interests them.
Keeping students informed will allow them to make any adjustments concerning their class performance in a timely manner.
It keeps them on track, and helps to maintain there interest and stay motivated.
Informig students of status in the course is very important. Most students lack time management and organizational skills which may result in an incomplete assignment. When students are aware of their weekly progress, they are able to complete assignments in a timely manner.
Hi Karen:
Keeping information sharing frequent and early-on will help students both in their understanding of what needs to be done, and allows enough time for correction in order to make a difference in the grade. We can also offer our caring, encourgement, and support early on as well.
Regards, Barry
Hi Tracy:
I believe the more frequent and early on sharing of grade information will result in better student outcomes. Students will have more understanding and more time for correction. This is a great time for encouragement, support, and advice as well.
Regards, Barry
Because sometimes for whatever reason students get missed informed about how they feel they are doing they don't know how much certain test, projects effect their grade they cannot figure out the math calculation so giving midterm grades is important to give that student who needs a boost time to see and succeded.
Hi Diedra:
Frequent and early-on sharing of grade information allows for understanding and time for correction.

It is important for the student to know their status in the class so they know where they need to improve. Every student wants to pass their courses with flying colors. I use an online grade book where the students can go in and view their progress. I grade papers as soon as possible and post grades. During midterm my college requires we do an evaluation and I usually complete the form and attach their grades. I make notes on the form of where the student can improve in the course.
