The goal is to empower students with the necessary knowledge they need to be successful in any career field they pursue.
Hi Rocco:
As teachers, we facilitate learning by a gazillion techniques, processes and procedures. In the end, we are transfering what we know to the student.

The goal is to help students develop new skills and knowledge for a specific career. But more importantly, to understand that learning is an ongoing process and in that process learning is achieved when you can resolve conflict.
Have to student truely adopt the I want to, and I know why I want to now attitude, and approach to classes.
The goal is to effectively teach students a new skill or skills need to help students gain the knowledge they need to achieve both the aforementioned objectives plus the background knowledge that is needed to practice that skill safely and effectively. In addition , depending on the program, the ability to pass a licensing or certification exam may be the ultimate goal. Students also need to be able to get hired in the field they have trained so hard for.
For me, the goal is to expand the knowledge of each student so that he/she may use their learning in a real world environment. The idea is to push beyond what they already know to develop new skills.
The goal of educating students is to give them knowledge empowerment to succeed in any career field they desire.
Hi Dana:
Ultimately, students have to be able to apply their skills in a practical way, true. Gaining those skills in the classroom, lab, clinical is paramount to them achieving the needed skills for succesful work. Our job is to assure we assist the student is acquiring their need skills.

Hi Grace:
Confidence seems to be a theme you value. If we can convey that attritube, or improve on it, then, along with the content knoweledge provided in the class, they'll be exceptional workers for their employers.
Regards, Barry
I believe the goal is to teach student how to prepare for the real world work.
Other than the obvious of imparting information I feel that the building of confidence is vital so they can visualize themselves in the career they've chosen. Another goal is to train them with a new set of skills that can build more confidence so they feel that they are capable of success.
Hi Rebecca:
I like your tie in to the working graduate. Ultimately, thats a goal. Gaining the skills and knowledge to be able to do that is chief among our commission.
Regards, Barry
Hi Julie:
Of course we want our students to learn. Our teaching does not automatically lead to mstudent learning. We have to work at it tomget better results.
Regards, Barry
The goal of educating student is passing the exams, and then obtain their license to work.
However we have many subset goals. Insturct on the knowledge specific to the license, give them enough supervision time and pratice to master the skills needed to preform the tasks required for the licensed job and the overall image of a professional provider. Their commitment and passion makes them a suscessful student. The graduate is greater than the sum of all our classes.
Rebecca
the main goal of educating students is so they will learn
Hi Margaret:
I think good, sound learning objectives accompanied with the instructor resources and content knowledge to back them up can achieve the hard skills (course knowledge) and soft skills (professionalism, attendance, puntuality, courtesy, etc.). Teaching requires we pass on both.
Regards, Barry
Hi Ellen:
It's often said (especially in health care circles) that we all have learned from someone else. So, even though I'm considered a subject matter expert for my profession, I have to prepare my students to be better than me. Without that, there'll never be progress.
Regards, Barry
Educating students is all about helping students gain the skills and learning techniques to help them become successful in their business and personal lives.
We are training and educating our future leaders. In Health care my students will be taking care of me soon and they deserve the best instruction from me. They can be characters alright, and developing their character continues to challenge me and therefore contributes to my own lifelong learning.
To make sure that the students will leave my class or course with completion and confident in understanding the materials that was taught to them to perform a job skill and succeed.
