Salomon,
Excellent! What a great suggestion with the campus events and schedules.

Patty Aronoff

Caroline,

You have added strong resources to your notebook and I encourage you to continue to do so. You are building a very useful tool.

Patty Aronoff

Deserie,

Interesting! The technological requirements are an integral part of the student's ability to succeed.

Patty Aronoff

tony,

Excellent! These definitions should be discussed with student do that when they refer to their enrollment documents, they have a clear understanding and how it affects them.

Patty Aronoff

Calixto,
You have brought an important point to the forum. High school may not mean the same in a foreign. Our try. Thus the reason that all foreign transcripts be evaluated by an approved credentialling service to determine equivalency to U.S. standards.

Patty Aronoff

Parish,
Thank you for your post. Your definitions are clear and provide an understanding easily grasped by your prospective student.

Patty Aronoff

Alina,

Excellent! Your terms and definitions should be fully explained in the catalog.

Patty Aronoff

Marc,
Is your application fee a non-refundable? Make sure that all fees are designated by either being refundable or not.

Patty Aronoff

Ray,

Good news! We all need to know and understand the terms so that we are using them in the right context. Always avoid using acronyms and business slang as students need to use the full terminology.

Patty Aronoff

Matthew,
Having quality enrollments is so importanlT. You need students who are committed to completing their education and gaining that credential.

In our institution we refer to the catalog, enrollment agreement, accreditation, admissions representative, financial aid and scholarships.

the term high school as translate from spanish may have a different meaning, reflecting different levels of education. Yet all meaning High school as the educational content of the training is the same. (e.g. curso superior, escuela superior, etc).

The terms and definitions commonly used during the admission process are: The Enrollment Agreement, whiich explains the financial agreement/contract between the institution and the student.

Admissions Procedure: Complete the application and attach the registration fee. Completed applications will be confirmed and will hold your space.

The Program outline: This module includes theory and practice in human anatomical structures and functions

My Resource Notebook Is kept at the front desk and is available for all necessary staff regarding updates. It is also used as a training tool for new employees if it applies.

The information I have placed in our Resource Notebook are the Terms and Definitions. It is important to have proper resources on file for training and making sure the manuals are updated.
There wasn't anything I didn't know. However, having a refresher course helps to maintain structure at all times.

At our institution we are using: programs, enrollment, and rules.

Programs - A prescribed group of courses, taken in the proper sequence to attain mastery of a body of knowledge or set of skills, and leading to a certificate, diploma, or degree

Enrollment - Registering a student to take programs or course at an institution when such registration obligates the student to pay tuition to the institution and obligates the institution to provide instruction to the student.

Rules - The rules (Chapter 6E, Florida Administrative Code)have been developed to implement Chapter 1005, Florida Statutes.

I have added to my Resource Notebook the CH.6E-1.003 Commission for Independent Education Index, it has extremely useful information on what exactly goes on when working in Admissions. As rules are updated, so will be our Resource Notebook.

I have placed the program sheets as well as the explanation of each class a student will take.Paperwork checksheet. I have also put in all campus events and class times and schedules
The Resourse Notebook has been pivitol in my training , it is my go to information guide when I am unsure of any info on programs or steps in the enrollment process.

Application for Enrollment - Our students must fill out an application for enrollment. This is done through the website.
Free Application for Federal Student Aid - The federal financial aid application.
Application Fee - We have a $50 application fee.

The definitions help with being sure we understand the vocabulary of the industry and it was the first page I printed. They then became the first chapter in my suggested resources notebook too!
