Hi Patty:
I was an academic counselor and never saved any documents to a folder or file as our policies and documents were subject to change. Would it be possible to have access to these policies electronically in case they were modified? What are your thoughts on this?
Regards,
Michael

I have found having the Resource Notebook is a one stop shop, to keep up to date with policies, procedures and regulations. I however feel it is best when kept up to date with....There is no use in starting one and not keeping it up to date with changes as they come along.
Terms and definition used at my institution:
MCITP / IT / Microsoft applications / Certifications
I am continually updating my Resource Notebook. Information regarding retention and placement ratios are constantly changing and this is important in order to represent our institution to our prospective candidates.
Admissions policies are the backbone of an institution. And as such represents to the general public an environment of truth in all its practices.
The terms and definitions most commonly used during the admissions process at our institution are enrollment, enrollment agreement, institution, scholarship, and program.
I placed our entire application to the Commission for Independent Education inside my Resource Notebook along with our institute's information. This way I not only have direct access to my institution’s information, but also all the rules and regulations.
We use many of the terms and definitions in our admissions process. Some examples include Accreditation, Enrollment agreement, and Program.
Asynchronous†means that students may access a prepared educational program electronically or by other means, at a time
of their own choosing rather than at a specified time
“Complete Application†means an application which the Commission staff has reviewed and found to contain all required forms, supporting documentation addressing each standard, all required signatures, and evidence that all appropriate fees have been paid.
Course†means one organized unit of study focusing on one subject or skill for a specified period of time; for example, English 101, College Math, or Introduction to Computers.
