Kenneth,
You have entered into the world of cyber notebooking. It is a personal choice as both methods of creation have their own benefits.

Patty Aronoff

Susan,

The notebook is a great addition to your procedures manual. The best of both worlds.

Patty Aronoff

Sam,
You have a strong group of documents for your notebook! Excellent start!

Patty Aronoff

Eva,
Carfeder Services plays an important role in the student experience and should begin with the admissions process. Introduce students to the Career Services area so they are aware of the services offered.

Colleen,
If a school provides a student handbook in addition to the catalog, it should be so noted in the student's academic file. Often, a signed receipt is the documentation needed.

Patty Aronoff

Arilton,
It should not be just a common practice, but the practice. Since both documents constitute the contract between the student and the school, it must be documented that it was given and received.

Patty Aronoff

Marsha,
Externships are an important part of the student experience. It can be an opportunity to get hired, which is a win-win for the student, the school, and the site.

Patty Aronoff

Heather,
I would suggest taking time to point out different areas of the catalog. That way, the framework is explained and navigation is easier.

Patty Aronoff

carlos,
The cancellation policy is an important discussion topic even though it is not our goal to do so. Who cancels, when, and how it affects every one is an important discussion to have.

I have the enrollment agreement, the catalog, the ,the manual procedure..
However I learned here regarding an organization chart that I included already.
Rules regarding marketing materials and strategies
In general with this module, I learned how important is to be up date my Resource Notebook

Some of the terms used at my institution during the admissions process are enrollment agreement, financial aid, career services, job placement rates, curriculum, etc.

I did discover a few interesting thinks in regards to the externship and placement guidelines for our school. I placed information in my resource notebook regarding the placement guidelines and career services departments for our programs that will allow me to be better informed for our prospective students.

Commission For Independent Education Rules
- Rule 6E-1.0032, F.A.C. Fair Consumer Practices
- Section 1005.38, F.S. Actions Against a
Licensee and Other Penalties
- Section 1005.34, F.S. Fair Consumer Practices; Condition of Operation

Within my Resource Notebook I keep information regarding programs offered at our Institution - changes made, pricing, length, what the cost entails & detail about how to utlize the online classroom, I also keep a copy of the enrollment forms in which I see quite frequently, but truly have never thoroughly gone through reading it in it's entirety. I also have the school's Mission Statement & FAFSA code readily available as well

Some commonly used terms are Enrollment Agreement, Student Catalog & Handbook, Student Skills Assessment, Student Medical Forms (especially for Clinical training involved in programs), filling out your FAFSA for Financial Aid

Kenneth,

I would have both the hardcopy of the resource notebook and the electronic files which stores on my database.

There may be an unexpected event occurs for example hardware failure or website is down due to technical issues. The staffs can still have the hardcopy of the resource note book as the second backup access.

Since we must offer full disclosure in order to comply with the Fair Consumer practice, the catalog along with the enrollment agreement constitute the contract between the student and the school; it is a very commun practice during the admission process.

In the course I read that it is ok to have a file and folder to create your notebook. I have found it much for advantageous to have an electronic file as I can then access much more information much easier.
Another point is I have created hyperlinks to CIE regulations and to the company website, which reinforces my presentation to new clients.
Our Enrollment agreement is electronic, which saves on printing.
Big plus for all agents is that if your company agrees to this then it can only be done on a computer / laptop, and seeing as we need to be mobile, I now have a nice company laptop to do my enrollments.

Some of the terms that are used during the admissions process are accreditation, enrollment forms, student agreement, financial aid, program information, clinicals, externships, diploma, degree, entrance exams, and application fees.
