Hello, Patty
From my perspective, I think that when it comes to organizing paperwork we need to keep your documents in a safe place, but make sure that we can easily get hold of them when we need them. The application and all needed documents and information needed from a student must remain safe because it is confidential and the students trusts you with that information.
Joaquin,
Checkless are an excellent audit tool. They provide a visual representation of what is in the file and what is missing.

Jesus,
Great job! How you organize the material is important to how you will access it in the future. By building the notebook to your specifications you've already overcome that first hurdle.
Patty Aronoff
Robert,
Excellent! You have made the resource and made it accessible which is key to your successful resource.
Patty Aronoff
Brian,
It will all come together eventually. It's a volume of information that the new admissions representative needs to know. As you apply the concepts that you learn from the material it becomes engrained in your daily activities.
Patty Aronoff
Yassmin,
You have the best of both worlds. Many times having paper copies is the best way to start out but as time goes on having the scanned documents is essential in getting the information readily available to both sources. Plus the electronic version makes getting documents lost less likely.
Patty Aronoff
John,
Those two tools are excellent additions to your office and go hand-in-hand. They are partners in compliance.
Patty Aronoff
Olga,
Continue to add additional material to increase the value of your notebook and your knowledge.
Patty Aronoff
Tyler,
Great! Continue to add to your notebook to increase its value.
Patty Aronoff
Yolanda,
It should be readily available. When you keep it out and ready to use it shows your prospective student that it's part of your daily routine.
Patty Aronoff
Patricia,
It's a win-win situation when you do this process. You are keeping your notebook up to date and providing a new knowledge as you do it.
Patty Aronoff
Sisi,
Three ring binders give you the flexibility that you need to add and remove material as needed.
Patty Aronoff
Brenda,
Don't you just love the colors! It quickly redirects the brain to the area that you have assigned to that color.
Patty Aronoff
Megan,
That is awesome! Continually adding the material and updating your resources is critical to the success.
Patty Aronoff
Gustavo,
Having folders is another option. However you organize your material, make sure that you are becoming compliant in the process.
Patty Aronoff
I use the same method to organize my paper work as well.
To organize the paperwork the checklist is very important because you can have chronological order of your file and may sure that those documents are not missing.
I am using dividers and labels to find what I need if I need any information.
I organize with a resource notebook and label different sections so the information is quickly/easily accessible to me.
I am using a 3 ring binder separating the subjects/topics. There are some sections that I am well versed in and others that I am not. The sections that I need to revisit are in a seperate section of the binder called "Review." I highlight the segments of the section I need to revisit. I review these sections continuously until they are fully understood. Once the concepts are memorized, then I will move to the next difficult section and repeat until all of this is muscle memory.
